Love the quality of the pack, the scabbard and lightness. Wished it would have more height adjustment. I am 6'2" and at the largest adjustment the hip belt does not lay on my hip, the belt comes across the middle of my gut. In addition, more pockets to segregate smaller items from the main cargo section would be nice
I have used this backpack on all my hunting trips over the last 5 years. I have used hin to store my bigger rifle for reindeer hunting. I have also used him to carry my 22lr rifle and shotgun when I go bird hunting. Carrying the gun is now much better and I protect the barrel in when I hunt in snow. I highly recommend this backpack and add to it the birdbag that can be strapped on it.
Thanks from Iceland.
Damn good pack. Works like it should, it’s also nice carrying your long range rifle in the scabbard with your hands free to carry a short range rifle when hunting in dense areas.
Have used the pack multiple times with my ar15 rifle and bolt rifle. They both fit comfortably in the scabbard. It is a great pack.
Just received my pack. I'm impressed by the build quality and design. I live in the central Colorado Rockies at 9,000 ft, and literally hunt out my back door. This pack gives me a means to keep all the necessities in one bag, and just go. It is easily large enough to carry food, water, optics/range finder, a couple of meat bags, dressing/skinning tools and space to shed or bring extra layers of clothing. The main compartment is large enough to get the first load of meat (backstraps) out from a downed animal. The sueded material is a nice touch to keep the bag quiet when moving through the thick stuff. I expect the Gunrunner to be a game changer this Fall.
