I bought this ruck to use with my sniper unit and hunting. I'm completely blown away by the modularity and the different ways you could configure this American dream. I knew I was buying a nice ruck though I had no idea how versatile the Operator was until I got my hands on it. It's a ground-force dream, whatever your mos and load-outs are I couldn't think of a better ruck for missions that also goes hand and hand with hunting. I recently did a 45lb 3-mile pack test for Wildland fire and got the lowest time in the company with sub 9min miles and it felt like nothing was on my back. I've always been okay with the Army-issued Molle rucks though this ruck makes those look and feel archaic. I Wish Multi-cam was in stock when I got it, the desert tan is a gorgeous rich color though. Do not hesitate and just buy it, stop looking around. Thank you Eberlestock for providing such an amazing product for service members making the toughest job in the world just a little bit easier.

This bag is huge well made and can handle lots of weight! I have the gunslinger 2 and this bag is very much larger than the gunslinger. Both are quality packs one is smaller and one is huge! Can’t wait to pack this bag out and hike ! This is my 3 rd bag greatest quality

I have an Amazon special that was about 90 bucks. It claimed 75L capacity (like 3800ci or something). This one Is about 77L with scabbard.

Well, this G4 fit everything the Amazon one did plus some! Construction, zippers and design is far superior. I probably could fit another 1/3 of stuff packed in, in the extra pockets on top of it.

I shoot PRS up here in Canada, so will use it for the shoots and will be using it for elk hunting. Have a batwing and dry sack coming from eberlestock as well it finish it all off.

I'd also use this as a military ruck, having done 4 years in the CF, this pack is definitely on par if not superior to our issued rucks in design.

I have used this bag in the military as a ruck, for a hunting bag. It can be used for more as well, the pockets are so versatile, while the structure and design are well put together. This bag will suit any hunter, or operator for their needs in the field. I’m hoping to take it big game hunting soon.

The pack is very durable with lots of storage and easy access to the main compartment. It’s also EXTREMELY comfortable and the waist belt is sized well to fit a variety of people.

If you are looking for a confortable ruck to replace the large or medium issued ruck, this is it. I spent multiple hours doing research prior purchasing this bag, and i am not disappointed. This thing feels like i have a pillow on my back in comparison to the issued rucks.

This pack is massive. Excellent stiching, amazing frame and harness...... but can we talk about the zippers on the wing flaps for a minute. The retainers for the zippers allow about 6" of zipper movement on each side. I almost am afraid to put anything important in those areas. The first time I put my tripod in one, it was hanging out snagging branches because the zipper unzips no matter what. Not a huge deal because those compartments affect the internal capacity limits anyways. The other "complaint" I bring to attention is the built in rainfly. The only way it goes back in its dedicated pocket is by stuffing and that creates a ball, also taking up internal space. Minus those two features, this pack is all a guy needs to haul his gear around for the next 30 years. Solid company with stress free customer service and support.

Over all it’s a really well rounded ruck. Between its uses from my days in the Army to now being used as my hunt pack I couldn’t be happier with this product. Everything is interchangeable and works off of other similar packs. Love the compartmentalization and how everything has a place. Easy adjusting and fits snug and high as it should. Fits all my rifles just fine in the attached rifle scabbard.

This packs I believe is the pinacle in my Eberlestock collection. It offers the same quality and reliability that I have come to expect from Eberlestock packs however the operator configuration for what I was hoping for far exceeds my expectations I am confident it will offer me years of reliable use.

Still getting a feel for this pack yet, have been on a few rucks lugging all sorts of gear in so far the coldest has been -20c . It’s definitely a heavier pack dry than what I’m used to but definitely carries the weight better than any other pack I’ve ever owned ( yeah I got a lot collecting dust now). I purchased the snow camo fly to go with it for the winter and will say it gets the job done! Overall I’m super happy with my purchase and am excited to see how far this pack will go!

Was in need of a new ruck and this checked all the boxes. It’s the most comfortable pack I’ve ever worn and had more than enough store space.

Excellent back pack, with the weapon scabbard it can have a lot of movement if you don’t have a weapon in it. Extremely comfortable with a lot of weight. The straps allow for a lot of compression or expansion.

Highest quality pack, you get what you pay for.

This is the best pack I have ever had. I’ve used mystery ranches and others but the operator I find to be vastly easier to fine tune the size of to your body. The quality is top notch and the size makes it extremely versatile. It carries the weight extremely well and mitigates fatigue. All around I love this pack.

I've been looking forward to getting this for some time. Had plenty of compartments for what I need the pack for. Easily accessible top compartments and feels very comfortable with a rifle.

YES. Significantly larger compared to the Gunslinger II. Updated shoulder harness and waist belt, extra padding very much appreciated. Expandable side pockets. Lots of room. My new go to.
