Great with the Seven Devils Rains Pant but...

I purchased both, the Rain Jacket and the pants. Together they're doing a great job.
If the jacket would have the same features as the Trinity Peak Jacket 2.0 it would be a five star combo. I'm missing some vent options with the jacket. Hicking long distances with the Jacket and no ventilation will get you wet from the inside.

Good kit!

Excellent gear! My one improvement would be to line the hood with camo, rather than black.

ALMOST Perfect Rain Shell

Absolutely love everything about the rain shell… just wish it had pit zips.

Get the Size up

I use a few pieces of Eberlestock gear, all the backpacks are top notch. This is my first clothing purchase and the quality is great. BUT the fit is… unusual. Jacket is tight around shoulders and chest, but the right size in the arms and length. Pants are tight around the waist but too big in the legs. i wear an XL in absolutely every thing i own, and this fit is not “usual”. So, while i say get the size up, i imagine, the fit will still have some trade offs. But as usual, great quality and utility.

Little Tight

For a large it is a little tight, smaller than other brands. Not too tight though, maybe an inch smaller than say a Carhartt's large.

On first wearing the hood seems like it's designed to be over other head gear instead if worn solo, could be just me.

Simple and effective

Love the simple design. Lightweight and fits great.

Size Runs Very Small

I wear 2XL in several other brands. Those items fit a bit on the large size and make it comfortable to layer. This item, also a 2XL, doesn't fit at all. I can't even get it around my shoulders. Other than that, it is superbly made of high quality materials.

So far so good.

Bought this as I like to go hiking and it can rain a lot here, so needed a good water wicking coat, that wasn’t to insulated (it’s not real cold). Haven’t tested it in real heavy rains yet, but it has held its own so far. I ordered a small and I’m 5’7 150 and it’s a little loose, which is good so I can layer underneath for both cold and rain.
