The Team Elk Pack is unlike any other backpack on the market. It has unique features like the patented rifle-back scabbard, a comfortable aluminum frame meant to carry heavy loads and a meat carrying system that allows the pack to be separated from the frame for packing out game from the backcountry. The pack includes a spacious floating lid, deep side pockets, and stretch-material pockets throughout the exterior of the pack. On the interior of the pack you will find stretch pockets and a hydration sleeve and hook.

I am headed out on my first rifle elk hunt this fall. I needed a backpack that would do all I wanted to do and my first choice was Eberlestock. I have several other items from Eberlestock items and I trust the quality of their products. This pack is no disappointment. The features I appreciate are the integral frame, the straps with velcro retainers, and the way this pack allows me to access the very bottom without having to reach in and pull everything out. This pack is another quality product and I am excited to use it this fall as I try to fill the freezer with an elk.

Pack Review

I have only had the opportunity to use my pack once. I had 45 lbs on the meat frame and it was conferrable walking on the tread meal at 6% I cline for 2 miles.

Overall is a great pack and would recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing one. My only complaint has to do with the support straps on the underside of the pack. When the pack is separated to create the meat hauling space there are loops on the “shelf” for the support straps to run through. When the pack arrived the straps were not run through those loops. The Velcro at the end of the straps made it very difficult to remove the strap from the ladder lock in order to feed the strap through the loops. Getting the strap back through the ladder lock without damaging the Velcro was difficult as well.
