Everything I was needing for Colorado elk hunts
The Eberlestock F1Mainframe provides endless expandability options to take me from Whitetail hunting in the Allegheny’s to Elk hunting in the Rocky Mountains and beyond.
I love that this pack is made for taller people. I am 6'6" tall and it fits my torso super great. I haven't healed anything with it yet except for a couple of neices and my son but it seems to keep the weight where it should be!
Only a few miles on the frame so far. I have used it with the vapor 5000, zip on dry bag, and zip on bay wings. Have not carried out an animal on it yet, but have been archery hunting steep country in the south San Juan’s of Colorado and it’s been a real back saver.
I love it. I’m am not kidding I freaking love this frame.
We’ll made. Shipped fast. Can’t wait to use it
Great frame that is extremely comfortable. I've used it on four trips now, all over 7 miles with about 40 lbs, and it's paired with the Vapor 5000 and bolt action scabbard. I haven't packed any meat yet, just scouting while carrying a rifle if I see a bear, but I have no reason to doubt it will function just fine. The rubber on the bottom part of the frame must have had something rubbing on it and it's worn off a little, but that's probably my fault as I didn't have the pack secure enough.
Will be using the main frame pack in a few weeks on my Wyoming Elk hunt. Hooked on back country hunting with packs and I’m sure I will love this pack. I will write or update this review after my hunt. This is my second pack from Eberlestock and I’ve always been partial to frame packs so when this came out I finally decided to get it. I’m selling my J34 to my buddies son at a great price it’s a great pack but I know I will love this main frame better and the versatility of it.
Just hauled out 265 lbs of elk in one 1.65 mile trip between two Eberlestock packs - my F1 mainframe handled 3 elk quarters in one trip and not a stitch popped or seam tear!!! The renegade fit the last quarter, backstraps, loins, and trim..Amazing Quality!
I love mainframe and all the accessories. I hunt public land which means lots of hiking. I should’ve made the switch to Eberlestock a long time ago.
