Switchblade

Very impressed with this product. I was on the fence between this and the Little Trick. For me, I’m glad I went with the Switchblade. It’s perfect size for my EDC, and then doubles for the right two day trip size. The quality of Eberlestock products is incredible, built like a tank.

Switchblade

The perfect EDC back pack. Super comfortable. Holds everything I need and blends right in. I love that I can put a pistol, rifle, laptop, mags, and extras all in the bag with ease.

Switchblade Gray Man

I bought the gray man hoping it was less tactical. I travel for work roughly 3 weeks per month. I only have a couple minor gripes about this bag and they are very, very minor.

First off the color. I love the color but with the goal to look less tactical it still seems to be a little green. To my eye it is still really close to sage green. While I do get compliments on the bag, the first guy to see it while at the office asked if I got it during my military service. I'd prefer the tone was more gray, less green hues.

Second, the padding on the straps and bag are a little overkill for my use, however if you had it loaded up and we're using it for tactical purposes it would be great to have. For my use as a travel back pack in an office setting it adds more bulk than I'd like.

My gripes as I mentioned earlier are minor and are 100% personal preference and in no way an issue with the quality of the bag. The bag itself is extremely well constructed. I love the shape, profile, size organization and pocket layout.

I'd definitely recommend this bag, especially if you are looking for a tactical EDC bag. However, I'd say if you don't mind looking tactical don't screw around with the gray man, just buy the sage green or coyote color to begin with.

Great pack, but not perfect

Love this pack. Can only think of one improvement. It needs a way to prevent the the top pocket from pulling open the main compartment. Just a snap across the zippers would work to accomplish this.

Excellent EDC

The Switchblade is a sturdy, durable, and easy to access pack for EDC. The magnetic release pocket is convenient and safe for your pistol. There is plenty of space to carry my items for work and the pockets for files/tablets are very handy. I would buy this pack again. Highly recommend.

Amazing bag

Bought it because the bandit was a little too small for me. This bag is perfect for my edc.

Switch blade review

I just returned from a two week very active trip half way around the globe using this pack. This is my second Eberlestock pack, my other pack is a hunting pack. I have traveled with my last pack (different brand) for the last 15 years and it was starting to break down from the extensive use. I think the Switchblade will hold up just as well. HOWEVER, the pockets on either side of the Swithblade designated to hold water bottles or other containers need to be deeper to keep liquid containers better secured as other reviewers have mentioned.

Best all around bag

I've been after a bag that could flex with my life. From being on duty in my patrol truck as a LEO to loading some gear and rolling to the gym to going on a day hike with my kids. I've run a bunch of bags from Eagle to 5.11 to hsgi to mystery ranch. They all lacked somewhere, no organization or way too damn much to being hard to get my stuff out of. I tried the switchblade on a whim my only regret is not doing it sooner. The same organization as my R1 range bag in the brain pocket, just enough organization in the main pouch, a concealed carry slot that actually works and the ability to carry a 32oz nalgene. It fits my life and my demands on a bag plenty big enough to stuff an OR hoodie for when it gets cooler or a hammock and tarp for dayhikes. That's in addition to my other gear I love that I can open just the top or clam it all the way open. It's about as perfect as they come that said get the waistbelt when you order the pack you don't need it but it would've been nice to have when I took it out for a 10 mile day hike. Fortunately you can order the matching belt which I did. This bag is expensive butbworth every penny.
