I hunt everything from coyotes to elk and everything in between. Over the years I’ve had to buy multiple packs to hunt the different areas and species. I’ve hade the main frame, batwings and vapor 2500 for the last two hunting seasons. The module system has allowed me to use one system to cover everything. The mainframe has carried hundreds of lbs of game meat out of the field. It system of holding the weight close to the body makes a 70 lbs meat load feel like 50.
I’ve carried multiple large tree stands, spotting scopes and gear with no issues.
I’ve spent multiple weeks in the back country on my own and trust the system completely. I recently purchased the vapor 5000. It has more space than I would ever need. Could easily do a 10 day back country hunt with it.
I’m hard on my equipment and have overloaded the systems multiple times and never had a issue with the zippers.
I spend 3 days a week hitting the stair climber and treadmill loaded with 65lbs. It’s the most comfortable pack that I’ve put through my training workouts.
All and all I would recommend this system to any one regardless of what they hunt.
I bought the vapor 2500 with he F1 main frame and it has worked very well. The 2500 is a good size for day trips, but if you need much more space get the 5000. The vapor connects very smoothly with the F1 mainframe and looks pretty good.
The vapor 7500 is made with great quality just like the rest of Eberlestock packs and products. I purchased the Vapor 7500 during the spring sale. I probably should’ve gone with the Vapor 5000 as the 7500 is massive and difficult to make small if you don’t need all that space. It’s a nice durable pack though and recommend it with the F1 Mainframe.
Already had the 5000 and a couple times wished I had a little bigger bag vs strapping more on the outside. Picked it up and love it for those time when you are going through big temp swings and don’t want the colder gear strapped outside the pack. Using the 5000 when I am able to pack most of the time but it is so nice to just Nea able to zip on the bigger bag for those trips where I’m packing extra.
Haven't got a chance to use it yet, but I like the way it's built.
I am running this on my f1 mainframe with the bay wings and multi lid. This is a killer combo. I zip the bay wings onto the pack and each other and use the straps and clips to attach the vapor on top of those. Throw the multi lid on top and you’ve got a slim, tall pack that really Carrie’s weight well with loads of modularity and options for hauling meat or whatever else you like. Once you go eberlestock you will never look anywhere else for packs. Absolutely top of the line and well worth the price.
This thing is huge!! It's perfect for the person who wants to use it for everything. You can toss a couple small things in, roll it down, and strap the compression straps around it tight for a light haul. Or you can fill it to the brim with more things than you can imagine! It's like a hockey bag on your back. Perfect for everything you want.
I recommend this bag. It also has 2 hangers inside for a hydration pouch.
Vapor 7500
Haven’t had the chance to use the pack yet. Taking a scouting trip in northern Nevada two weekends from now. It is extremely lightweight and well made. Big enough for multi day trips. Looking forward to using it.
I like everything about this
