Very durable, wears well, and is exceptionally versatile.
Everything about this pack was great. It makes the load you carry feel dramatically lighter. I swear it defies physics.
I hunt mostly in the Midwest for whitetail. I have a set of Batwings on it most of the time and it works perfect for me.
I’m impressed with the overall frame. I would definitely recommend it.
Overall I am very pleased with this modular frame system. It carries weight extremely well, no hot spots like my other meat carrying external frame packs create. The thin profile allows relatively good dynamic movement, and when it is running light, it stays out of the way. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because the direction of the zippers, specifically using the bat wings, invite gravity combined with motion to unzip the zippers. Only one of the bat wings has a clip to retain the zipper in the up position. The other side zipper does not have this retention clip. And even the Batwing zippers that connect the two bat wings do not have a retention clip. Simple fix would be to flip the zippers around so up and down and down is up. Then no need for clips. Or at least have both sides equipped with clips. For being such high level gear, it seems a bit silly to have to use a twist tie to manage the zippers when out in the field. Inconvenient and not super quick to switch out. Otherwise, I hope this system continues to evolve because it feels relatively bomber and it's at a reasonable price point. This is my fourth eberlestock pack, I'm generally very well pleased and demand a lot from my gear.
super lite, very spacious and easy to learn best ways to utilize. modular and adaptable can carry more than you want to lift. also lots of secondary attachment points that are perfectly placed for securing every kind of accessory out there. cant wait to hit the trail again this pack was the difference hands down!
Just used this pack on my wife’s moose hunt. Pack worked great. Held all the weight perfect on my hips. Can’t wait to put it to the next test.
I used this on my first elk hunt and success all around.
I put pouches on the belt, have the batwings and the scabbard. everything is nice and tight on the way in; and then it was an easy adjustment to load meat and get it out.
