Let's get straight to it, will most gun people know you are carrying when they see you with this? Yes. Does this really matter in most everyday environments where many where bags anyway? No. This bag is situational, especially when you want to comfortably carry more EDC gear on your person or long drives travelling in your car, otherwise I am appendix carrying 90%. None the less this is an excellent piece of gear to utilize when the opportunity arises.
Pros:
-Excellent quality overall, love the material, sleek smooth finish and feel, very durable, the YKK zippers feel heavy duty and I have used them 100s of times and they feel brand new.
-The bag is minimalist yet big enough to hold I would say a compact gun with light / laser attachment, red dots can work too, but I find micro compacts to compact sizes work best. The smaller the gun the more attachments you can fit.
-All velcro backing interior, 3 mesh open pockets in the front zipper compartment, plus a zipper mesh pocket as well. This allows you to make your bag custom to your preference and move things around at whatever angles to really hone down your exact requirements and hand grab points.
-Comfortable to wear around the waist, on the side of the hip, and even cross body across the chest. I can still draw sub 2 seconds from the waist position one handed.
-T shaped zipper end to access the gun is great, I have not ONCE missed grabbing the zipper every time I practiced. (Make sure you remove the other zipper off completely, and move the 2 front zippers to the opposite side so you don't have anything in your way when you go to grab it!)
Cons
-If you want more pockets and customization, you will need to pay extra for other pouches (I bought the utility pouch and the mesh see through pouch in addition, worth it, but extra money, just fits by putting the bag inside out and fitting the pouches that way, then bringing everything back in)
-You still need to buy a holster system from Tracer Tactical (as seen in the photos, I recommend 1.75" belt not 1.5" for a tighter fit of retention on your belt clips) or another 3rd party (I would also look into MARS carry insert from tightchutes, it is more minimalist profile than tracer tactical option).
-You can just use a velcro backing on your holsters if you dont want to pay a 3rd party holster velcro system, but that is annoying and scratches your skin when you want to run your holster on body again.
Front compartment EDC fits:
-pocket knife with glass breaker + seat belt cutter and pill container (in utility pouch add on), wallet, mini flashlight, rechargeable lighter, pepper gel, combat gauze + band aids (in mesh pouch add on) PLUS more space for a few small items I have not made my mind up adding yet.
Gun Compartment fit for me:
Canik METE MC9 with OLIGHT BALDR MINI, holster with DCC mono clips, sometimes I add a 15 round mag in the mag slot velcro, can fit a TQKit but still deciding where to position this
Rear zipper compartment fits:
The leftover excess belt strap tucked away, and 2 emergency hyper chest seals (I may move my combat gauze and band aids here from the front freeing up more space but unsure yet).
