The G3 Phantom, the quintessential sniper pack, is a patented Eberlestock design. It offers the ability to remove the bag and straps from the Backscabbard™, which can then be combined with the top-cover to make a nice drag bag.
The Phantom is a front-loader, with two rings of various-sized tuck-pockets lining its interior, MOLLE compatible racks inside and out, and a fold-down shelf that can be used to divide the main compartment into upper and lower chambers. It will carry two 3-liter hydration kits, mounted in side pockets, and/or two 2-liter bladders in sleeves between the side pockets and the main pack. Includes the pack and scabbard combination, removable butt-cover, and a pull-out rain cover.

G3 Phantom Product Overview
How To Properly Fit And Adjust Your Pack
Have had a variety of packs for precision rifle, but this one is my all-time favorite. Generous internal compartment that allowed me to put everything I need for the firing line right where I can grab it, hydration where it makes sense, and comfort in carrying that is part of this brand. Can’t go wrong with this pack.
I have been using a Phantom for the six or seven years. It is still running strong and it has travelled with me all around the world on my courses and also as my competition range bag. Sometimes I think it will outlive me!!
As part of my job as sniper instructor, ELR competitor and demo shooter, I test lots of packs, I use them for a while BUT I always go back to the phantom. Its size and features in perfect for the Pro sniper that does NOT have to carry huge ammounts of equipment. It is large enough though, so if you pack it tight my old high mileage back will cry for help.
The pack has all that is needed and I can keep my Swarovski STR85 MRAD (BIG !!) spotting scope on one side hydration pounch and the Manfrotto mid size tripod on the other. I have found that when I carry my rifle on my hands, I can also insert the big tripod I use in some occasions on the rifle scabbard. I love the top compartment for all my electronics and small items and the BIG main compartment that I can divide ONLY if I need it. My HP SPECTRE laptops fits nicely inside, protected and separated by a the mesh separation as well as my ammo and large stuff all in there. I attached a leupold softcase on top of the pack and can still lay prone while wearing it, even with the TW EXFIL helmet. Eventually I may need a replacement but only because I may change camo patterns....
Great pack, well made.
I have been using this pack for some years now, mainly for hunting, and carrying stuff to far off mountain ranges.
The pack looks worn but all zippers and harness is functioning as new,or better. Scabbard swallow all my guns including 20 lbs + Steyr SSG08 338LM with large silencer and big Hensoldt 3,5-26x56 Scope
Just superb ergonomics and quality.
