The Freefall is a versatile, low-drag platform capable of accommodating multi-day excursions with a minimalist kit or day trips with a robust setup. Organize your loadout with a spacious top lid, seven interior pockets, and a water bladder sleeve. Water bottle pockets, compression straps, and hip-belt pockets round out the exterior. Last but not least, a robust, padded hip belt and shoulder harness ensure that comfort is king even under a heavy load.
The Freefall 3000 includes an additional interior partition for ease of separation and organization, making it capable of handling longer trips. The Freefall 2000 is a smaller, slimmed down version for straightforward day trips.
Whether it’s used for mountain trails, a well-stocked go bag, or a robust precision setup, the Freefall is capable of handling it all.

Freefall 3000
I got the Freefall 3000.
I really enjoy the build quality of this pack, it looks to be up to snuff with my other Eberlestock pack. I find that it's just a liiiiiiittle but smaller than I'd like for deep overnight backpacking, and it's just a little bigger than I'd guess for a daypack or an assault-type pack. That being said, I figured out that if I really need extra space or options, I can attach my other Eberlestock pack to the Freefall using the compression straps on both packs, so that worked out well for a youth camp I needed to pack more things to and not haul around a overnight pack each day.
I'm looking forward to using this pack more. I debated between 4 and 5 stars only because of the sizing, and to be fair, Eberlestock was clear on the size and spacing of the pack, so it's on me to make this work for my purposes. Make sure it fits what you want, and you'll be golden with this pack.
Great fot for my gear and the color is conspicuous in public.
Love the freefall
I own about 10 Eberlestock packs and about 15 of the accessory items, all for hunting, range time, or EDC. I also needed a hiking pack so I purchased one from Gregory, Osprey, and Eberlestock’s Freefall 2000. I figure where Gregory and Osprey only focus on hiking that their packs would be better. Not the case. I returned those and kept the Freefall 2000 as my hiking pack - it feels so much better on my back than the competitors and is significantly higher quality.
Great quality, this is going to make my short trips carrying my masssive laptop a kot more pleasant and it doubles as a a day pack when traveling. I also like how non tactical it looks
Amazing quality, better than I expected!
The 2000 works really nice for a dayhike or overnight getaway :)
