The modularity of this bino pack is its best feature. Previously, I had multiple bino packs that I’ve loved for different situations: archery competitions, rifle hunting, scouting, etc. depending on what gear I needed with me. The ability to add/remove complements with the same core pack is great.
The functionality is also very good. Easy to store flaps in open position for easy access without the flaps getting in the way, or closes firmly to keep binos, range finder, and other gear secure.
Pack and it’s components (zippers, snaps, molle webbing) is very well made and feels sturdy. I have no doubt it’ll hold up in the field for years to come.
I've actually wanted this harness for quite a while. What kept me from ordering was the price. The system is expensive in itself, but I also wanted to get the quickcase and two utility pouches to go with it. Came to about $250. Ouch. Could have bought a pack for that... Anyway, I obviously chose to purchase the product despite that, so I'll give you a review. It's actually pretty solid. I'm a bigger guy, and even with my gut it fits me, and it doesn't move around at all, which is important to me. It's also very lightweight. I could almost forget I'm wearing it. I also wanted to get use of this when I'm not using binos, so I use it when I'm trail walking. The large will hold a GI canteen or two 16oz water bottles in the main pouch. The magnetic closure is solid and can be opened with one hand, but is honestly easier when you use two. The closure also stays down when opened, which is nice. I have a ton of Eberlestock gear and this is one more piece that I am impressed with.
Could be a little larger for Leupold's BX-5 Santiam 15X56 Bino's. A little to snug in all directions for easy use.
Going on a horse pack trip near Yellowstone to photograph wolves and grizzlies. This fits the ticket for handy access to my gear but not interfering with riding.
Very comfortable and great functionality. Definitely a worth while investment for your hunting kit.
Really enjoy this bino pack. I bought the large for my Swarovski 15x56 and they fit tight but are getting easier to put in and out of the case with more use. The large could be a bit larger but it works. My only complaint is the rangefinder pouch I purchased with the bino pack. It has a magnetic closure that is very weak and the top flap opens on its own frequently. If this was not the case, I’d give 5 stars.
I love this thing!
