The thought that went into this design really shows! It is the best on the market for comfort, use, adaptability, and durability. I expect this pack to last a long time and be a pivotal piece of gear for many great hunts!

Super solid harness made very well. I am stoked. Got the harness with a range finder pouch and a bear spray pouch. I like the different options to choose from. My wife was so jealous she made me buy her one! Luckily I got them both during the extensive Black Friday sale. I will be buying more products from Eberlestock in the future.
It would be rad to see even more customizable options in the future, such as: tourniquet holders, knife sheath adapters, etc. Almost like a micro chest rig or something. But that’s just me dreaming of all the rad options to mess around with. Anyways, thanks guys for a great product!

The Recon is a very good, modular chest pack. I bought the large model and most of the accessory pouches. The large model allows for storage in the bottom of the main bino compartment for gloves and 550 cord. The rangefinder pouch holds my rangefinder in the right location and has a spiral lanyard that keeps you from dropping it. I put a tourniquet in the bear spray pouch that is held to the pack with the molle pannel. The utility pouch holds a fire kit. The quick case holds a multitool. Its a great setup. My only recommendation would be to add molle webbing to the bottom of the Recon itself.

Bought it to carry my thermal in, the thermal measures 4 3/4" and will not fit in this pouch

Super happy with the Recon! I looked around at several other brands to find the best one and landed on the Recon because of the modularity. While whitetail hunting, I can fit most of the gear I need in it and eliminated the need for a backpack. Then I can remove the accessories and use just the harness to store it in the truck for scouting. Can’t go wrong with it!
