The LP1 FannyTop is a popular component that is included as a component with several Eberlestock packs. It can be laced onto any MOLLE grid making it compatible with virtually any pack. The FannyTop makes a great organizer, as well as a pull-off go-bag. Stow your essential survival kit, water, etc. in the FannyTop, and whether for convenience or for emergency, you can simply detach the FannyTop from the main pack, grab and go. The LP1 also works as a great stand-alone fanny pack.

It looks great but I won't be able to test it out for a couple of months.
There is one lone negative review of the bag...that's clearly written by a sour dude who failed to read the description and specs of what he was purchasing and was so bitter of his own error that he attempted to wrongfully tarnish a solid piece of work.
With that out of the way let me give it to you like this.
Whether your hunting, go bag set up, or backpacking this be the tool of choice to retain all bare essentials and include some water.
You can strap a blade, mag pouch, rain fly, cord, med pouch, ect. to the exterior and get everything else inside to make it happen.
In other words if you cant get it done regarding the bare essentials in the sticks with this unit, you've a long way to go learning to make it in the boondocks in a situation.
Further more it's a solid bag and I haven't found better.
I drop camp and when going out this is the bag I sling over my shoulder.
I keep the bare minimum with me in this bag no problem but best of all it holds water.
Up a tree I girth it around the stem or hang it from a branch water tube dangling and my jerky and nuts easy to access.
I've had one for 4 or 5 years and just bought two more. My original unit is still going strong.
I purchased 2 of the LP1 Fanny Top Pack Mountable Go-Bags for my half track pack. One for the top and the other for the front molle panel.Slight increase in capacity and more organisation options. The delivery to Australia only took 2 weeks which was fantastic.Reasonable priced considering the Australian.Pleasure to do business, highly recommended and will return. Thanks from Chris (Australia)
I've been using this on top of the batwings when whitetail hunting. It allows me to leave the main pack at the base of the tree and take up only what I need. I snap the built in waist belt around me as I hang my sticks and platform, and when I'm set up and ready to hunt I run the waist belt around the tree giving me quick access to my range finder, milkweed and grunt tube. It's a sweet little pack that perfected my pack system for long hikes and hunts.
