Great Bag

I have no reason to rate lass than 5 stars. I had a veteran friend of mine recommend Eberlestock as a good reliable bag. I did my research to find a product that would fit my needs for a good sized hiking/camping pack. I finally settled on the Destroyer. I take it everywhere with me anytime I go out into the woods. It's exactly what I was looking for and more.

Destroyed Pack

Good materials used, and rain cover easily accessible. The three (3) liter hydro is recommended, but doesn't fit into the slot (then it's just in the way) and the camelback 100 oz (short) is better suited. Any and all packs with removable (metal) rods are a mystery, because not sure if too many folks want to be out in the bush while it's lightning with those in (having that rolling around in the back of the mind), which brings up the point that once those things are removed, the pack folds in on itself and digs into the back real polite like - all the while the back harness is solely reliant on the ^-velcro which also is a headache to adjust for proper fitting. Straps, draw-strings, clips, fasteners, and zippers are all quite the adventure in-and-of themselves, and good luck in the dark or while its pouring down. There are better (waterproof) packs on the market and those that know, know, one is only as good as their gear and that every minor to major detail is crucial for success.

Experience using BATTLESHIP

This is my first long backpack. I used to use the US military system backpack (the type with two large auxiliary pockets on the left and right of the main bag).
Since there are no left or right side pockets, it will be more convenient to move around in the city, apartment, and elevator.
Its internal backrest system is very similar to the j79, but feels better than my favorite j79. I did not take out the inner back frame steel bars of the two backpacks to compare, but when adjusting the shoulder straps, you need to adjust the height first. When the steel bar is pulled out, you can see the shape of the steel bar. I think the steel bars and inner back frame of BATTLESHIP are better and more ergonomic than those of j79 (but I have been using j79 for two years and am very used to j79, although it is a bit long for me). Adjusted to the most correct back length, the shoulder strap adjustment ladder has been adjusted down to the lowest) but I still like j79. BATTLESHIP can be adjusted to the exact length of my back (technically speaking, it's still half a square off, j79 (one less square)), but I think I'm an exception because my height is only 171 cm, and BATTLESHIP has the latest type of belt. , making it more integrated with my body.
After buying a few backpacks, my experience is that my height and body type are better suited to the mid-sized backpacks designed by Eberlestock.
I will consider buying BATTLESHIP because I want to use it to match the US military's cfp 90 and libe backpacks. I have not used such backpacks yet. I want to practice using this type of backpack and test it out to find out what conditions work best for me. I live in Taipei, Taiwan, which is a modern city full of alleys. And the basin is surrounded by mountains. In this case the j51 is too wide (I usually use the j51 when I need to move items)
I don't have enough experience with backpacks. It takes six months to a year to use it repeatedly. If I had longer experience I would be better able to share.
But I like the solid workmanship of BATTLESHIP, it looks handsome, and the inner back frame structure feels better than j79. I love every military backpack from Eberlestock.

Excellent pack

Fit me with little adjustment right out of the box, I’m 6’2” around 195 lbs. This is my first Eberlestock order and it seems like very durable construction. Have yet to field test it, but I expect it to perform well.
