I purchased both the Mainframe and Vapor 7500 after researching back pack systems. I received both in good condition and find that they are quality built. This system went together very well, with one small glitch. The zipper hooks on the Vabor 7500 do not reach the loops on the Mainframe. This was easily fixed by adding a paracord loop to the existing loop. I haven't had a chance to use them on a long hike, but they fit and feel good on me. Planning on giving them a good test this September in Alaska. That said I would still give them a 5 star rating.
Have the F1 main frame and got the vape 7500 for this year. Great pack all around. I would note it is very large and is difficult to compress down to a day pack. I am utilizing the main frame compression straps to get the pack tight and compressed but unfortunately doing this makes the side pockets some what non-accessible. The picture is of the pack, compressed, with my day pack set up. I havent seen the 5000 series in person but if you truly don't need the capacity of the 7500 it probably is smarter to go with the 5000 to utilize as a day pack as well as a long range hauler. I was easily able to fit my 7 day set up in this pack. Great design by Eberlestock and would strongly suggest the vape series
THIS IS A VERY BIG BAG/ BACKPACK NIECE BUT I SHOULD OF GOT THE 5000 VAPOR WHICH WILL HAPPEN SOON, I HAVE MANY OF YOUR PRODUCTS AND PLAN ON GETTING MORE, THANK YOU BRION.
