This jacket seems to be well made, and the fit is excellent as the sleeves are long enough, and the hood is functional. While we have not yet had cold weather to test it - the jacket seems warm with the down filling. I like that it packs folded into the right pocket!! Cool!

I bought two of the down Payette hoodies - one for myself and one for my son. We head up to Alaska for exploring and fishing, and with the uncertain weather conditions each day, we find we bring many outdoor combinations to wear depending on the conditions that day. We like the Eberlestock layering philosophy as it works well and adapts to changing weather conditions. The Payette hoody is flexible for warmth and wind, and since it packs into a pocket, it takes up little room in the pack. So, with the hood, it provides good protection for both cold and windy conditions. It fits under a rain jacket, and it is so light you don't know you have it on other than staying warm and comfy!
