Orders including the Modframe in Dry Earth will ship when it restocks in mid September. For immediate shipment of in-stock items, please place a separate order.
With the Modframe™, we’ve taken everything that made the Mainframe great and rebuilt it from the ground up. This is more than an upgrade; it’s a next-generation hunting platform.
The Modframe™ is a purpose-built foundation for serious alpine hunters who demand performance, durability, and flexibility in their pack systems. Built leaner, stronger, and more customizable than ever before, it offers new levels of fit, comfort, and load control, and it’s fully compatible with every pack, bag, and accessory in the Hunt EMOD™ system.
When it’s time to pack out, detach your pack, strap your game bags into the load-panel, and reattach your pack. This keeps the heaviest weight close to your back and reduces fatigue.
Revamped Suspension System:
Modframe ™ features a reimagined shoulder and hip-belt harness with over 50% more padding than our previous design. It wraps the shoulders and lower back in form-fitting comfort, while extra-tall load lifters keep weight off your traps and over your center of gravity, allowing you to go farther without wearing down.
Integrated Load Panel:
At the heart of Modframe™ is a low-profile load panel that replaces the traditional L-frame shelf. This keeps weight closer to your center of gravity, improving posture, energy efficiency, and control during heavy pack-outs.
Supreme Durability:
The Modframe™ is engineered for years of hard use in alpine environments. The frame itself is built from aircraft-grade aluminum and polycarbonate, efficiently blending strength and flexibility. Its interior panel flexes laterally with your stride, allowing the pack to move with you, while the vertical frame structure keeps gear centered and tight to your back.

I haven’t hunted with the Mod frame yet .
I believe it’s going to be a game changer this fall .
Great frame. Have been using internal frame packs, and they ride well, but it’s difficult to add on extra tools. This frame enabled me to carry the extra stuff close to my body, and I can adjust the pack I’m taking. Love it.
Taking it on my north idaho archery elk hunt in September and whitetail later in oct nov. dirwt time teying it out thsi year
Hands down the best frame pack on the market! I’ve loaded this pack with multiple weight combinations up to 80 lbs and being able to adjust the weight height puts less strain on your back and makes carrying it so much easier. #GAMECHANGER
I love it can’t wait to try it out this September
I have worn the pack for about 12 miles of hiking so far. It was easy to fit to my body and has been very comfortable. I had a neck fusion two months ago and these were my first hikes post op. No issues at all and the weight distribution to my hips was great to keep pressure off of my shoulders.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Eberlestock MOD Frame has exceeded my expectations. The build quality is exceptional—solid, rugged, and clearly designed to handle serious use. It’s comfortable under load, and the compression system works incredibly well, keeping everything tight and stable whether I’m carrying a full pack or a lighter load. The modular design makes it easy to adapt to different trips, and it pairs perfectly with my Brooks 3500. An outstanding frame that I’d recommend without hesitation.

Read Full Privacy PolicyThe ability to use the aligator clip and quickly detach my range finder to I can mount it on my tripod is what I needed. The elastic stretch of the cord is comfortable and still feels secure. Overall, always impressed by Eberlestock products.
Replaced some missing pulls. Works great
Replaced the hip belt on my Team Elk V2 pack with this one. Took an already good pack to great! Hiked many miles with this set up on a recent elk hunt and was comfortable the whole time.
Functions well, color matches, sturdy molle webbing, overall well made product
This is a solid range bag. What really sold me was the basement which fits my PCC perfectly! Do I wish it was slightly cheaper, yes, however, the quality is outstanding, the size is perfect, the customization is great and the molle on the outside if very useful.
Realistically if this was $30-$50 cheaper am I really missing that money? No, not really so long as the quality of this bag holds up and continues to be built like a tank I think this is a perfect example of "buy once cry once" and have a bag for years to come.
Great job Eberlestock I really really love this.
P.S. Find a coupon if you want to cry about it, they're out there on the web and you cry less tears. lol
Great setup for packing out animals.
The product is great. Slim and well constructed. Being left handed it was nice to see that the sling strap could be configured for left side carry.
Great products
Let me tell you a story about a hunt during late season last year. I was in a hang on stand in a transition area. I had my badlands harness on, which I'd used for several years.
In the past, I had looked at the Recon system, but just didn't pull the trigger for some reason. Well, 2025 late season Kansas hunt made my mind up for me very quickly.
The spot I was hunting had a ton of deer. They poured through this small staging area on their way to a soy bean field every evening. There were so many around my son and I that we could barely move. This essentially meant that I'd be shooting sitting down because our tree didn't have much cover at all and I couldn't risk trying to stand up.
Typically, I hunted with the flap of my badlands harness open because the magnetic snaps on it are kind of loud, especially on a high pressure day like this with very light winds. I didn't want to risk having a deer pick us off by closing it and hearing the "snap". Anyway, I'd shot with that harness on 100's of times, so no big deal, right? Well, I soon realized that, despite all the practice, I had not shot with the harness flap open in a seated position, and I quickly made aware of the error of my ways. I had a nice 150+" buck step out at 25 yards and feed in front of us. Once he turned broadside, all I had to do was draw my bow, settle the pin and shoot... or so I thought. Everything went according to plan until my bow string hit the open flap on that badlands bino harness. When I drew, my string caught on that open flap and made a loud sound. That buck instantly alerted and took a step back with his front leg as I released the arrow. I've been bow hunting for over 25 years, and it is rare that I rush a shot, but that day, I did because of how much it surprised me to have my string grab like that. Fortunately, my arrow stuck that buck in the chest, severing an artery in the process, and we watched him go down within 50 yards. It could have been a total disaster.
My intent here is not to bash another manufacturer, rather it's to tell you what happened to me and why I chose to switch. That badlands harness is well made, but it is not as nice as the Recon. The Recon is far quieter, closes without a sound, and a major bonus is you can open it and have it wrap back onto itself. That, is a game changer. The profile of it doesn't change, so there should never be any interference when drawing a bow.
I haven't hunted with it yet, but I can already tell that I'm in love with the design and the modularity of the entire system. I feel like I'm going to use this system for many, many, years to come.
I'm a die hard bow hunter and I do not like wearing heavy gloves. If it's that cold, they normally come off when I get to my stand or blind so that I have less to worry about during the moment of truth. This hand warmer is surprisingly light weight, but man is the inside of it nice and warm. I haven't hunted cold weather with it yet, but the quality is there, and sometimes you just know when something is going to work. This is a good product that will likely stay attached to my recon bino harness from October through January, then again during turkey season.
Another quality product. Great item to add to the Recon system. Its quiet and holds a good bit, though it's a little bit smaller than I thought. Some of the pictures of it make it seem a little bigger than it really is. I might be able to get a grunt call in there and a few other items, but it will be tight. I'm still rating it 5 stars because I should have read the details on it a little closer. That being said, I fully intend to keep it and use it, even if it's not exactly what I had in mind.
I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but the quality is obvious. I'm coming from a badlands bino harness that has served me well, but has some issues. I like this whole recon system because of the modularity and ability to add what you need. For early season whitetail hunts especially, I'm going to eliminate the need for a pack because of what all I can carry in this rig. The thing that I like about the range finder pouch is how quiet it is. The fabric is quiet, my range finder easily slides in and out. It's not in the way when I draw my bow. I can return the rangefinder to the pouch without looking, and if I close it, it does so very quietly, instead of with a loud snap like some magnetic closure systems have. I'm very excited to hunt with the Recon system this fall!
Great size for every day carry. Lots of room for all you need for the day. Great quality as usual from Eberlestock.
Fits my 43x perfectly with a full holster that I put velcro backing on!
Attached to molle panel below binoculars. holds severe and is made as expected.
