The HiSpeed II™ has a unique contoured shape that tapers at both the top and the bottom, giving the pack and excellent close-to-the-body ride. The HiSpeed II is fully compressible with pairs of quick-disconnect, side-mounted compression straps which draws the load upwards to optimal position over the wearer’s center of gravity. The main compartment features a fold-away divider to separate or combine your space, a mesh zippered pocket, and a hydration sleeve. The HiSpeed II comes paired with a lightweight and durable rain cover for further adaptability in the field.

HiSpeed II could be renamed “EXCELLENCE”

After receiving my HiSpeed II, it was immediately put to work. I’ll say upfront, I’ve only had it a short time, so this is not a long term review.
For starters, this pack has a few features I was not aware of. This new model is reviewed well on an update video Eberlestock put on YouTube, but they left out a couple of things I believe were upgraded from the original. I live in the Lowcountry of SC. I must say, the venting on the back of this pack, along with the padding used, keeps you well ahead of overheating. It’s HOT and humid down here most of the year. They say this pack is 2290 liters. Plenty enough room for more than a couple of days worth of gear in warm climates. I was truly happy after loading it up with gear for 2-3 days out in the swamp. I’m a big guy, and it carries as comfortably as any pack I’ve ever bought or been issued when on active duty. Ergonomics are fantastic and well planned. The availability of various pockets is outstanding. If you pack with a bit of attention to detail, the HiSpeed II will be comfortable and capable beyond expectation. Fit and finish are impeccable. No loose threads, all seams are bombproof, and zippers are quite rugged. I’ve found nothing to dislike about this pack. If you’re like me, you do a lot of research prior to pulling the trigger on your gear. I consider my new pack to be one of the best decisions on gear I’ve made. Thank you Eberlestock for a fantastic and well built backpack I’m positive will serve me well for years👊🏻
