Does exactly what I needed by allowing me to discreetly carry within my work bag. Holds a giant gaming laptop. Only complaint if I’m being picky is that it would be nice if it had a small zippered compartment for tiny things.

I recently bought the switchblade to update my everyday backpack. Going from Vertx to Eberlestock I like how this bag is constructed, more adjustability in how it sits on my back, a different approach to organization and a new color way are my main draws to this backpack. Eberlestock does not disappoint, if you’re on the fence about the bag, don’t be. It’ll serve you well!!

I bought this pack for my most recent trip to Colombia and it turned out to be an excellent choice. In Bogotá it blended in perfectly — it looks just like everyone else’s everyday backpack, so I never stood out. The organizational features are outstanding, and it’s genuinely one of the most comfortable packs I’ve worn.
Things got real once we headed down to the Putumayo region. Our camp flooded and we had to evacuate up a mountain in a hurry. A few of us made return trips back down to grab resources for our makeshift camp — food, water, and other people’s gear that got left behind. The Switchblade handled it all without missing a beat. It carried well when fully loaded, stayed stable during the climbs, and performed great under a poncho in the wet conditions. I would also recommend purchasing a rain fly for it.
Only minor critique (and my fix):
I’d love to see a built-in compression strap across the main clamshell zippers. When you grab the bag in a rush or it’s top-heavy, the clamshell can flop open a bit. As a workaround, I rigged the pack’s own sternum/chest strap across the zippers using the side attachment points and a couple of Nitecore Medallion carabiners (see photo). It works really well as a temporary fix to keep everything secure.
Overall, this is a solid, low-profile pack that punches well above its weight for travel, hiking, and even more demanding situations. Highly recommended.

Just like I hoped, the Switchblade fits all my junk for work+. It is comfortable to wear and outclasses every other bag I’ve ever had. I wish ya’ll made a pistol bag for the range. The accessories I got to go inside are the perfect addition. Love love love Eberlestock! 10/10 Highly Recommend!

Exactly how described. Stellar product

As already stated, great quality/construction but I need something bigger.

Very well constructed bag. Have only had it a little over 2 weeks and just got to using it this week. The tech pocket is great for a laptop or tablet and the organizational pockets on the inside keep power cords and such from being a tangled mess in the bottom of the bag. Only complaint is it’s a little warm on the back while wearing it.
