The Bolt Action Scabbard is a padded and reinforced sleeve that carries and protects most bolt action rifles while keeping them at an arm's reach. In addition, the use of the Bolt Action Scabbard allows the user to keep their hands free, improving balance, safety, and comfort. In most cases, the scabbard also positions the weapon directly behind the head so that it may be drawn without the removal of the wearer's pack.

The Bolt Action Scabbard uses MOLLE webbing to attach to most Eberlestock packs. Most commonly, it is paired with the Mainframe as part of Eberlestock's EMOD system.

Rifles with traditional hunting stocks and optics should fit inside the scabbard with ease. To confirm your rifle will fit, we recommend using string to measure the circumference of the rifle AND optic at its largest point. A measurement less than 20.5" should fit without issue.

Know Before You Buy

Bolt Action Scabbard

Questions, Answered.

What is the Bolt Action Scabbard designed for
The Bolt Action Scabbard is a cornerstone accessory for the Eberlestock Hunt EMOD system. It allows you to carry a rifle and mounts to any Eberlestock frame, allowing you to traverse steep mountains, boggy swamps, or open plains hands-free.
Where does the Bolt Action Scabbard sit on the pack
The scabbard sits behind all of your gear, closest to the frame. The rifle is usually the heaviest item in the loadout, so keeping it centered along your back gives the most even weight distribution.
How does the Bolt Action Scabbard attach to a frame
Eberlestock frames have a laser-cut panel on the front. The scabbard uses MOLLE webbing straps that weave in and out of a frame’s laser-cut panel and the scabbard's own MOLLE loops. It then inverts back into its own webbing to lock in place. Weave it through as many or as few times as you want. The connection stays secure even with additional packs and accessories layered over it.
What does the Bolt Action Scabbard weigh
The scabbard weighs about 1 pound. It adds minimal weight while protecting one of the most valuable pieces of gear on your hunt.
Does the Bolt Action Scabbard have any external attachment points
Yes. Additional 10mm MOLLE webbing on the front lets you run a lightweight setup with just the frame, the rifle, and one accessory pouch for essential gear on quick morning or evening hunts.

Grendel Upper Carry

I've been looking for exactly this to carry/protect my 6.5mm Grendel Upper/Leupold Mk V scope that swaps into my AR-15 .223 lower as it was originally designed by Bill Alexander/Arne Brennan for the Army. Well built and padded, perfect!

10/10 recommend

Works perfect with my Remington 700 LA on a magpul chassis. In my experience the weapon does not shift, the scabbard has a clip and holds my rifle in place. The only gripe(not a con) I have is that I have to remove my bipod and sling for ease of insertion(thank god for qd attachments)

Great Scabbard

Scabbard is awesome and with molle system can quickly go from my hunting pack to, ATV or shooting pack when needed. Added to my X2, under the wing, it really completes my setup and keeps me hands free.

Bolt Action Scabbard

Recently set out on this year's 2023 Mule Deer hunt with my new F1 Main frame set up with the Scabbard. No words can really describe the easy of keeping your arms fresh from not packing your rifle. I hunt the vertical landscape of Idaho's massive canyons. Trust when I say, you won't be disappointed. I shoot a .300 Win Mag and it's heavy. On my back, it's not even there. The access to the rifle within seconds is next none. Thanks Eberlestock, y'all killed it!

Scabbard

Great product works flawlessly with my Christensen arms ridgline with 24 in barrel and Leupold Mark 5HD 5x25. Attached this to my F1 main frame prior to bear hunting this year in the Olympic mountains. I love the way it keeps the weight centered in you back and not on one side. The buttstock only stuck out slightly, I didn’t have any problems breaking brush through heavy pines or getting snagged because of the but-stock sticking out. Would recommend this product to anyone wanting to keep their rifle easily accessible but protected while on a hunting trip in the back country.

Awesome

Fits my Ruger American Ranch, in 300 Blackout, with Magpul Hunter stock perfectly.

A little short for a magnum with a brake.

Great quality but a little short for a Christensen Arms Ridgeline with the brake on.
The scabbard only goes as far back as the end of the ejection port.
With the matching cover there's about 3" of rifle uncovered.

Does exactly what it says

For some reason when I ordered this I thought it would be better than nothing but doubted it would work as well as described. When I got it on my F1 mainframe it works exactly like described. I can easily get my rifle in and out of it without taking it off, the weight sits high enough to be comfortable, and I've got access to my rifle withing a second or two. It also holds my 300 blk AR with ATN nightvision scope (little bigger profile) up to the pistol grip on it. That works great. Not sure If was going to need the tactical rifle version for twice the price or not, but the measurements they provide were spot on. Would buy again in a heartbeat. Picture is with suppressor on it.

WORKS WELL

I LIKE THE SCABBARD ALOT. HOWEVER IT CAN BE A LITTLE TIGHT ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU PACK IS LOADED TO TRY AND PUT YOUR RIFLE BACK INTO IT. THIS IS MORE A MATTER OF THE RIFLE THAN THE SCABBARD. I HAVE A HUNTER 700 MAGPUL STOCK ON MY RIFLE THATS A BIT WIDE SO GETTING IT IN AND OUT WITH A LOADED CINCHED DOWN PACK IS A LITTLE SLOWER. HOWEVER MY WIFE HAS THE SAME SET UP BUT USES A UNMODIFIED RUGER AMERICAN AND HERS SLIPS IN AND OUT EASILY. JUST SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT WHEN PURCHASING. ID BUY AGAIN.

Rifle Scabbard

Purchased scabbard for the Marlin SBL 1894 lever-action; fits rifle perfectly while providing great protection and easy access while scabbard is affixed to the backside of the front passenger seat; scabbard color and rifle do not look "tactical", so it doesn't attract unwanted attention that a black "assault" rifle would. Perfect for the "gray man".

Nice product, but didn't fit with upgraded chassis.

nice addition to my setup

the scabbard is well made and will protect your rifle and make for easy carry when needed. The attachment is very secure. I would like to see a way to attach that would be both secure and easy/quick on and quick off.
No top cover so I would like a super light weight rain cover to slide over the butt and action/scope. As is water can seep into the action during rain or snow. one thing I do worry about is sticks leaves etc. getting into the scabbard and possibly find its way to the muzzle. Ahh but there are always trade offs . I do recommend this add on to the mainframe set up.

Bolt Action Scabbard Review

Just took this scabbard on a five day hunt in Alaska. It performed well and held up. I will be using it in the future. Unfortunately, I can't say the same for the Modframe that I ordered with it.

Love the versatility of the separate components. I also like the hands free carrying ability with the weight centered on my back and close to my body. Provides excellent protection for my hunting rifles.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Bolt Action Scabbard is a fantastic addition to my pack system. It’s well made, fits my rifle securely, and gives me confidence that it’s protected while hiking through rough terrain. The attachment system is simple and solid, and it integrates perfectly with my pack without getting in the way. Drawing and re-securing the rifle is straightforward, and the overall quality is exactly what I’d expect from Eberlestock. Highly recommended for anyone carrying a bolt-action rifle in the backcountry.

Bolt action scabbard

I have several backpacks they all carry scabbard couple have aluminum frames and some of them do not but they all will accept a good scabbard. I want something basically for a shotgun no scope no red dot even though it’s large enough to accept a smaller size scope and a full sized red dot very well-made excellent product straps right in on your frame or underneath a pack or external on a pack. Depends on how much weight you wanna carry and where you wanna carry it on your back I highly recommend Everly Stock great products super strong durable. I have not had one pack even start to think about wanting to come apart.
