With the Modframe™, we’ve taken everything that made the Mainframe great and rebuilt it from the ground up. This is more than an upgrade; it’s a next-generation hunting platform.

The Modframe™ is a purpose-built foundation for serious alpine hunters who demand performance, durability, and flexibility in their pack systems. Built leaner, stronger, and more customizable than ever before, it offers new levels of fit, comfort, and load control, and it’s fully compatible with every pack, bag, and accessory in the Hunt EMOD™ system.

  • Pair with Batwings or a Vapor 2500 pack for lightweight mobility
  • Step up to the Brooks 3500, Vapor 5000, or Brooks 7000 packs for extended trips
  • Add the EMOD Lid, accessory pouches, or Bolt Action Scabbard to quickly access your essential gear and increase storage capacity

When it’s time to pack out, detach your pack, strap your game bags into the load-panel, and reattach your pack. This keeps the heaviest weight close to your back and reduces fatigue.

Revamped Suspension System:
Modframe ™ features a reimagined shoulder and hip-belt harness with over 50% more padding than our previous design. It wraps the shoulders and lower back in form-fitting comfort, while extra-tall load lifters keep weight off your traps and over your center of gravity, allowing you to go farther without wearing down.

  • A new torso adjustment system allows for an exact fit, with unlimited height customization
  • Raised load lifters improve balance, helping you fine tune where weight rides
  • Our thickest-ever lumbar pad locks in place with silicon grip strips, keeping the pack ideally positioned on your lower back
  • A single forward-pull strap on each side makes hip belt adjustment quick and easy, even with one hand
  • Rear micro-adjustment straps allow you to fine-tune frame tension for maximum stability
  • Belt will extend out to 50 inches end to end.

Integrated Load Panel:
At the heart of Modframe™ is a low-profile load panel that replaces the traditional L-frame shelf. This keeps weight closer to your center of gravity, improving posture, energy efficiency, and control during heavy pack-outs.

  • Dual integrated 20mm straps quickly secure heavy quarters
  • Top and bottom adjustment points let the panel flex out for larger loads
  • Compression straps buckle over the panel to pull weight inward and minimize shifting
  • A central mesh channel boosts airflow and promotes curing during extended pack-outs

Supreme Durability:
The Modframe™ is engineered for years of hard use in alpine environments. The frame itself is built from aircraft-grade aluminum and polycarbonate, efficiently blending strength and flexibility. Its interior panel flexes laterally with your stride, allowing the pack to move with you, while the vertical frame structure keeps gear centered and tight to your back.

  • Constructed with rugged 1000D and 500D ripstop nylon
  • Soft air mesh backing provides breathability and comfort
  • Weighs just 4 lbs 8 oz. making it leaner than the Mainframe with more features
  • Comes with our Lifetime Warranty

Just what I was looking for

Just what I was looking for.. Hopefully in the next couple weeks I will get to pack a deer out using this system. Over the past few years ive been using a pack that I was unable to remove the pack and when you have to make a second trip in it was horrible that I had to take the pack and not just the frame. This past weekend I was able to use the pack hiking with camera gear and a tripod. The mod frame was comfortable and the brooks pack did the job. I look forward to putting the miles on wearing this pack. I plan on doing a full review on my YouTube channel in the near future.

Modframe Review

This is a mixed review. First, the pack did what I needed it to do during a five-day hunt. However, I’m disappointed with its durability and no longer have confidence that it will hold up to the use I expect from an Eberlestock pack.

During the hunt, the pack saw relatively little abuse. At some point, a tear developed on the bottom, although I’m not sure exactly when or how it happened. The pack was not exposed to anything particularly sharp. Its primary use was going from my house to my truck, to my ATV, to my back, and into the tent. I also made a point of not setting it down on sharp rocks or branches.

For a pack at this price point, and from a company whose products I’ve historically trusted for their durability, this is disappointing.

I’ll likely return to my Skycrane II with the Little Brother and Super Spike Duffle, which I’ve used for roughly ten years. Those pieces have been put through the wringer, and aside from some blood stains, they still look and function like new.

It seems that some durability may have been sacrificed in the move toward lighter-weight, more modern packs. While I may continue using the Modframe for hiking or camping, I don’t plan to rely on it for my hunts.

Overall, the pack performed well during my five-day hunt, but the early tear has significantly reduced my confidence in its long-term durability.

Good not great

My personal complaints, I like to carry my 45 OWB and it seems that I will have to find another place to carry due to the massive hip belt straps.
The other engineering feature I can’t grasp is why the packs zip up to the frame and not down on the frame? Yeah you have a bungy that holds it, but it still pulls down and offers mediocre support for the heavy stuff up high.
Outside of the 2 things, the pack becomes awesome.

Love. This. Pack.

Super comfortable. I love how easy it is to convert to meat hauling mode. Also love the modularity. The ability to switch out the bags is awesome. I have the brooks 3500 for day trips and the 7000 for extended hunts. 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Happy Hunter

I bought this pack for a Bighorn sheep hunt in CA. I was not able to use it much before the hunt (injury) and was concerned how it will perform. I wanted to get some miles on it loaded, but that didn’t happen. I’ve used eberlestock products before, but mainly EDC stuff. Was very happy with the performance of the pack! The load was well balanced with the way the pack is designed. Highly recommend this bag.

I got the Modframe in October, 2 days before they went on their Black Friday Sale. I asked Eberlestock if I could get credited for the price difference and they actually hooked me up! I love this company now...and I ended up spending more than that on their gear after I got the credit.

The Modframe itself is everything I was hoping for. I don't hunt at the moment, but I've been rucking and hiking with heavy weight trying to get back into shape. I started looking for alternatives to my Alice ruck after I had 75lbs in it and it rubbed a hole in my back that is now a scar. With the Modframe I usually carry 75-90lbs up a 1000 foot mountain in less than a half mile. This pack almost makes 90lbs seem light. Although I did try 125lbs 2 weeks ago and that was a little too heavy for me, but the Modframe handled it with ease. I don't know what they will ever do to improve it because it so comfortable to carry heavy weight. Putting bags on and taking them off is so easy it is almost unreal. I was even putting my 55-60lb kids in the brooks 7000 and swinging them around for a durability test. At first I was a little worried because the bags are so light, but me and the boys gained confidence in them very quickly and they wore me out and were having a blast.

I can't say enough good things about this frame and bag, they are everything that I was hoping for and more. I know that it will carry as much weight as my spine can handle and it will do this in comfort and not rub holes into my skin.

Phenomenal Pack

Used the Modframe Pack with the Batwings to pack out a whitetail buck over 1.5 miles in PA public land. Once you have the pack adjusted properly to fit your personal frame it is unbeatable. Packing out a buck that far is rough in general but I will never drag again!

Great system

Helped a buddy pack out his first ever elk using this mod frame. Handled the trek and the weight well. Comfortable to wear for hours. Also washed stains out well.

Versatile and comfortable pack frame.

The Modframe is a truly versatile pack with endless options to mount storage and equipment and can even be used to add weight and train for your next hunt. Very strong out of well made materials, light and very comfortable. Completely satisfied

Seems very nice.

The product seems well built. I haven't had a chance to use it in the field yet, so I am unable to give a proper review.

Mod frame

The inly thing I have to compare it to is the ruck sack I carried in the army. This thing is infinitely more comfortable. I like how it keeps the weight off my shoulders and the super thick lower back pad. The only thing that hurts after a long hike is my thighs.

Slick pack

Very nice piece of equipment. Used for elk archery in unit 12 Idaho (steep country)
Paired with batwings and am super happy with the setup.
Very adjustable, comfortable and very nice to look at.
Huge lover of all Eberlestock bags. My wife and I love y’all’s stuff.

Great pack frame but squeeky

Im on my second season with this frame and the Brooks 3500 pack. I haven't had any problems with the pack I love its modularity, price, fit and ability to pack meat but the frame or straps are pretty Squeeky. If i could give the frame a star rating it'd be 4 out of 5 just because of the inherent squeek. The Brooks 3500 pack is a 5 of 5 though.

High speed low drag

I haven’t hunted with the Mod frame yet .
I believe it’s going to be a game changer this fall .

Emil A.Z. (Colorado)

Great frame. Have been using internal frame packs, and they ride well, but it’s difficult to add on extra tools. This frame enabled me to carry the extra stuff close to my body, and I can adjust the pack I’m taking. Love it.

Hands down the best frame pack on the market! I’ve loaded this pack with multiple weight combinations up to 80 lbs and being able to adjust the weight height puts less strain on your back and makes carrying it so much easier. #GAMECHANGER

Modframe with Vapor 5000

I have worn the pack for about 12 miles of hiking so far. It was easy to fit to my body and has been very comfortable. I had a neck fusion two months ago and these were my first hikes post op. No issues at all and the weight distribution to my hips was great to keep pressure off of my shoulders.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Eberlestock MOD Frame has exceeded my expectations. The build quality is exceptional—solid, rugged, and clearly designed to handle serious use. It’s comfortable under load, and the compression system works incredibly well, keeping everything tight and stable whether I’m carrying a full pack or a lighter load. The modular design makes it easy to adapt to different trips, and it pairs perfectly with my Brooks 3500. An outstanding frame that I’d recommend without hesitation.
