The Mission Lid is a simple, effective addition to storage space without adding bulk or increasing your profile, while used independently. It keeps vital items at arm's reach without the hassle.
Used in tandem with the Mission Load Panel, these two accessories vastly increase the system's capability when it comes to carrying a sustaining loadout or heavyweight hardware.
A Mission Frame or other pack with load lifters is needed for attachment.
The Lid is, like all of the Eberlestock items I've worked with, very well constructed. The quality is high and the placement and sizing of the compartments is well thought-out. This is probably the first upgrade I'd do to a Frame + Pack configuration that needs a little more volume.
They mention that this is designed to be paired with the Load Panel, and that's definitely true. There is included hardware that allows you to secure the lid without the Load Panel, but that hardware is pretty clearly designed to work well with the Assault Pack, but not the Medic Pack (the clips are designed to connect to a vertical line of MOLLE, which the Medic Pack doesn't have; you can connect them anyway, but it's awkward). Given how well thought out the rest of the Mission EMOD line is, I found it a surprising oversight.
Great additional storage.
The gear is solid already took the assault bag out and put it to the test. So far I’m liking the bag and its versatility.
