The side stretch pockets can hold water bottles and longer items like a tripod, spotting scope, or trekking poles.

Know Before You Buy

Bandit

Questions, Answered.

What is the capacity and weight of the Bandit
The Bandit holds just over 800 cubic inches (13L), weighs 2.5 pounds, and measures 18.25 inches high by 7 inches wide by 6.5 inches deep. The small frame fits under a vehicle seat or airline seat.
How does the Bandit open
The main compartment features a full-front opening with dual-directional zippers, so you can access gear at the bottom without opening the whole pack, or lay it flat for detailed packing.
What is the laser cut utility panel
The laser cut MOLLE panel on the face is the defining feature of the Bandit. It keeps the front from unzipping all the way unless you want it to, and it lets you attach pouches, medical kits, or anything you need fast access to. The straps also line up with the water bottle pockets, making it easy to secure trekking poles or a spotting scope to the side.
How is the Bandit organized
The Bandit features internal back and sidewall open-top slip pockets, a hydration-bladder hanger, and hose ports. The top lid holds your phone, wallet, keys, and chargers, with a small zippered pocket inside for sensitive items, accessible via two zippers.
Can I add accessories to the Bandit
Yes. MOLLE webbing on the front panel, top, bottom, and sides accepts a wide range of Eberlestock pouches and accessories. The side webbing is best for lashing or clipping gear to the outside.
How does the Bandit fit
The shoulder harness is adjustable using our ladder system to dial in your torso length. The Bandit accepts our standard hip belt for heavier loads, but it does not come with one.

A versatile, compact daypack praised for exceptional build quality and comfort. Customers said it's "perfect for day trips" with impressive storage despite its small size. Popular for hiking, hunting, EDC, and travel. Highly praised comfort and adjustability, though some noted it's smaller than expected and shoulders can strain with heavy loads (20lbs+).

  • Compact, but still able to hold a ton of gear. Perfect for everyday carry and overnight when needed.
  • Too many packs have tradeoffs, but not the Bandit. This truly is a home run.
  • Overbuilt for what it should be, and I absolutely love it. Best day pack I've ever owned.

Bandit bag

This bag is perfect for what I do. I can pack overnight stuff and I can use it to go scouting for elk as a day pack. I love that I can carry my tripod, water and spotting scope all where they are easy to reach. And the adjustable shoulder straps are awesome and I was able to fine tune the bag, I also love the padding on the back. Great bag I do recommend it.

Bandits to Borah

My son and I got a couple Bandit day packs and 3L bladders and took them to Mt. Borah. They worked great! Rugged and comfortable for a challenging hike!

👍

I compared literally every backpack on the planet to find the right one.

The Bandit is the only bag that pulls off the absurd combo I was after: compact, but still able to hold a ton of gear.

I use it as my everyday carry, but it can flex into an overnight bag when needed. You can tuck a sleeping bag inside the beavertail, and mount a tent on the bottom MOLLE with separate straps. Long items like tent poles fit nicely into the side MOLLE.

- A 14" MacBook won't fit, but an 11" iPad Air fits snugly.
- The top storage compartment is bigger than it looks. A 4.5x6.5x2.5" pouch fits in with room to spare.
- The main compartment is listed as 7"W x 6.5"D on the site, but when I measured it myself, the actual usable space is closer to 8"W x 7"D.
- The back panel padding and shoulder straps are genuinely comfortable, the kind of quality you don't usually see on a 15L bag. It shows this pack was designed with heavy loads in mind from the start.

If I had to nitpick one thing, it's that the bottom of the bag, which sees the most wear, isn't padded.

Other than that, it's basically flawless. Whoever designed this bag is a genius.
Hoping this bag proves durable and sticks with me for the long haul.

Eberlestock Bandit

I love everything about this pack, it’s not your ordinary carry option. It fits everything that I need for my gear and supplies I might need in different situations. I really admire the versatility and compatibility, the possibilities are endless. I work in Law Enforcement and I wanted something that will meet any type of scenario and/or emergency that can happen that I might encounter on day to day basis. I also wanted something that has an area to put a water source/bladder in case I go on a walk for a long period of time or far distances . I really admire how lightweight it is and has one of the best support when strapping it on as a backpack, I can’t wait to test it on a hike. I really like the Dry Earth color, pairs very nice with green in the inside. To top it off, it’s molle compatible, has the elastic bottle pockets that can expand or you can tighten them , and I really like the main compartment. It was very easy to pack all my necessities, the full zipper front access is very beneficial. I am beyond satisfied and my expectations were definitely met, Eberlestock created a masterpiece

Bandit Pack for 3D

Bought this pack for 3D archery events and just wore it for 3 days at the Western Classic Trail Shoot. Absolutely the best 3D archery pack on the market! MOLLE webbing placement holds 8 arrows with points in the stretch woven side pocket. Carried a 28oz Yeti bottle in the other outside pocket and a 2L water bladder in the interior pocket. Pack lid is perfect foe organization of bow tools/ spare arrow parts, and plenty of room inside for a light rain shell and fleece layer plus snacks. The back panel offers massive airflow ventilation, it was in the 80’s and no sweaty back from 6hr days on course. Straps stacked nicely over a bino chest rig. Would love it even more if there was a waist belt that was available as an accessory, pack has a waist belt slot with Velcro.

Good backpack

Just got mine, and I’m looking to add some more attachments to it. Can’t wait to use this in drills. Though the only thing is, I thought the pack would be bigger. Would love to have a larger version of this pack.

Spam emails without discount

They offered me 20% off my purchase if I subscribed to their mailing list. I hate marketing emails so much, that I’d rather pay full price for the product. I purchased my product and opted out of the email list. I’m still getting marketing emails for some reason and I didn’t even get my discount. Will be returning. Horrible customer service

Don't wait!

You need this pack! I don’t care what you hunt. This pack gives you so much versatility in so many ways. It is not only rugged and lightweight, but you can easily accessorize it for differing hunts. Everything is compact. The water reservoir will easily hold a 3L capacity bladder. The molle utility panel is great to attach different pouches and you can stuff your shirt or lightweight jacket in there when you need to remove a layer. The full-front opening main compartment is a game changer. You can literally access all your gear without searching through a bunch of pockets. Just unzip and bam you have access to all your essentials. Then zip it up and you’re off again. The top lid is terrific for keys, headlamp or other small essentials. The frame and overall size is just right for storing in a small area like behind your truck seat or for plane rides the seat in front of you. You better get off your couch and not wait because once the word gets out this essential day pack is likely going to be hard to find! There are a lot of daypacks but none like this one!

The best all-around, most versatile pack I've ever owned!

I make several trips each year to remote rain forest/jungle research stations where every inch of space and ounce of weight counts. The Bandit pack is now my go-to pack. It is as comfortable at my feet on a 20 hour flight as it is in jungle mud, not to mention comfortable on my back! I've owned a million packs over the last 40 years of travel, and this is the best all-around pack I've owned. It was easy to attach my camera straps as well. I'll be purchasing a larger Eberlestock companion pack for my return trip to West Africa shortly.

I use it for the range, for the field, for staff duty. Works for everything.

Unsurpassed quality

I received an Eberlestock product as a gift several months ago and immediately noticed that that every aspect of the product was not only well thought through but the quality and construction were exceedingly evident. As a result I recently ordered Eberlestocks Bandit pack and have to reemphasize what an absolute pleasure it is to finally purchase something that is virtually flawless. The construction and quality of Eberlestocks products is something that I have not experienced in many years. The type of quality that was an American standard 40+ years ago when all the world compared its products to American products as the best in the world. I find that the Bandit is a perfect EDC day bag with more than ample space for anything you might need on any given day traveling locally or to and from work. The layout is just right, all pockets and compartments are pleated !!! Something almost all other manufacturers of outdoor packs fail to do. They design multiple flat pockets which overlay each other making it impossible to use more than one as there’s no room for any items to stack. Eberlestock understands this obvious requirement and incorporates it throughout the interior and exterior of their packs. The materials used are nothing short of sexy. So well-made, so well constructed, abrasion resistant and durable . I also recently ordered their switchblade pack for my larger outdoor adventures which I am anxiously awaiting, but I will tell you this bandit pack will always be riding shotgun to any other packs I carry. Eberlestock products are indisputably top of the line.

What can't it do?

The Bandit carries my ACH, tripod, tent, and a host of other equiptment for work. I needed something that would carry those three items at a minimum. After seeing other Bandit setups I decided to go with it over a beavertail. The waist strap from my drag bag was laying around so I threw that on along with the extension straps to hold my tent or whatever else the mission calls for. Attaching molle pouches like the optics pouch from my drag bag makes it that much better. Throw a canteen pouch, extra mag pouches, Ifak, admin or whatever, I love it. It also works great as a shooting rest or buttstock support. I own the Operator ruck and the Drag Bag so choosing Eberlestock once again was easy. Eberlestock ftw.

I wasn't sure if it was big enough

I looked at every possible bag from Eberlestock and elsewhere, trying to decide on the best pack for me. I hunt Arkansas whitetails for 95% of my hunting. I still hunt in a stand with a short walk, usually a mile or less. I try to stay on the stand from before daylight until after dark. I pack food water and most importantly coffee. I saw mixed reviews on the size of the bag, some said it was small and it is on the smaller side but with the molle front I attached a multipack to add another compartment. I bought a set of accessory straps and use the molle on the bottom of the pack as well rolling my 4-1 parka up like a sleeping bag. All total I have my binos, jacket, an extra shirt, The Terminal List hardback, ear pro, IFAK, chapstick, food, hunting knife, 2 game calls, writing utensils, hand warmers, multitool, gloves, 40oz Hydroflask, and my Stanley coffee thermos. I am planning to purchase a lid to increase storage. And a dry bag to stuff my jacket in to keep it dry. I like the pack and accessories very much, I’ve only hunted a weekend with it but so far so good. I went with Eberlestock over other brands because of the accessories available as a system and the quality of the product feel.

Fantastic Pack

The Bandit pack was everything I've been looking for in an effective form factor, this pack has great modularity in terms of customization, allowing me to attach various pouches depending on my task sets.

The shoulder straps are definitely unique and very comfortable, even with larger loads and carrying irregular shaped objects the pack still rides great on the back.

The best

I was hesitant because of the size. But it has exceeded my expectations. I added the large pouch on the front for a IFAK. Great bag..great company.

Solid Pack

I received my OD green Bandit and I am very satisfied with the quality. Also there are just about the perfect amount of storage pockets on it to not be too little or too much
