Great Bino Pack, could use a couple of refinements

Excellent construction and comfortable to wear. It looks like it will hold up with lots of field use. The magnetic closure is good and the top opens and stays open. I purchased the large size for 56mm binoculars. My Steiner HX 15x56 are not usable with this pack. They will "fit" but it is so tight, it is not usable in the field. Takes way too long to try to get them in and out. My Zeiss 10x56 RF do fit in the case without the objective lens caps. They will reside in this pack from now on. The binocular retention straps that clip to the bungee cords need to be changed a bit. no matter how you route the retention strap through the binocular and back through the plastic keeper, the strap slips and will let your binoculars fall if they are hanging loose outside the pack while you are walking/climbing. I am glad i paid attention to this before hitting the field and getting into a stalk. The fix for this is to put your binos back in the pack everytime you move- not ideal for ranging binos while stalking. Other than that, this is a great modular pack.

Bino Bag Review

The main bag is awesome and a great fit for my Vortex Binos. The straps are very roomy and fit across light layers and numerous layers based on weather. The molle straps maintain a good grasp on all the attachments.

Less Utility Than Expected

I bought the large bino chest rig, my binos fit fine. I bought two Utility pouches, both for edc type stuff. I'm glad I bought two, they are tiny little pouches. Think Vietnam era size compass pouch. I filled both with breath mint tin size kits, a head lamp, and a compass. I also bought one quick pouch, it JUST, fits my Kestrel. I ended up fitting my range finder's factory pouch on one of the side straps, something I saw a guide do with another chest rig. The Recon hand warmer pouch is plenty big enough for my paws, and a couple of bags of Pop-Tarts.
