The pack is well constructed and comes with plenty of internal pockets in the main compartment, which splits into two with a mesh keeper inside as well. Originally received it without the included rainfly, but support sent me a new one immediately.

Gonna give this pack some good use for the years forward.

This is my pack of choice when I won’t be hauling meat. The pouches and compartments are very well thought out to allow carrying odd shaped items while giving you fast access to what you need. It handles heavy weight well and is very comfortable. The quality of the pack is top notch, which has been my experience with all of my Eberlestock gear.

I really like the durable construction on this pack and the thoughtful organization pockets available throughout, as well as all the MOLLE webbing options available on the exterior. I purchased this pack as a "Go Bag" for activations as part of a emergency communications unit for my Sherrif's COMMU section and was intrigued by the antenna ports in the top of the bag as well as the organization options. I thought I might be able to use this bag as a 3 Day pack because that is how it is advertised. Not so much the case, unfortunately.

The pack ends up being much smaller than one would think so there is really no room to store anything over and above the basics and even then there is not room for a full 3 days' set of clothes, 3 MRE's, a sleeping bag, pad, and basic toiletry kit. With there not even being enough room for those items, the "useful" features like antenna ports and organizer pockets are a moot point, since there is no room left for antenna gear.

If I was aware this item was more day-pack sized, this would probably be a 4 or 5 star review, however the price of $350 is pretty steep for a bag made overseas when there USA made options available that are comparable for $300 or less.

The Halftrack pack (Coyote Brown) is the perfect size to work as a carry-on bag when flying or for carry photography or fly fishing gear. I especially like the sleeves on the sides where fly rod tubes can be inserted. The quality of the pack is top notch. The materials feel durable and solidly manufactured. It’s also extremely comfortable on the back with the adjustable shoulder strap height. I highly recommend the Halftrack. Eberlestock makes quality gear. Just buy it - you won’t regret it.

36 Years and counting in the armed forces and honestly this one of the best bags I've ever purchased, the adjustable harness and frame are mega comfortable, the internal layout is customisable with loads of extra storage, every small detail has been thought of from the zip pulls to the strap ties on each pouch clip. Extremely well constructed and will take an absolute beating and never let you down. Worth every penny.

This is my 5th pack from Eberlestock so, you can say that I do like them. The Halftrack is great size pack. The construction is bomb proof and thought out. I’m very happy that the Halftrack has the older Eberlestock style water bottle pockets made from the same tough nylon that the pack itself is made of instead of the stretch mesh that I feel is a down grade. The only issue to be forewarned about is the tunnels on the sides. I’ve seen videos, may have been on earlier generations, that the tunnels have open bottoms so you could carry longer items, balancing out the length as to not stick out so far out the top of the pack. This generation, the bottom is closed making a long narrow pocket which for my needs is welcomed! However, the one issue I have and the reason for the missing star is the top of the, non through tunnel is open with no cover. The pack comes standard with a very nice rain cover, wish all of their packs did, but, if you are not using the rain cover, the potential of rain, snow, leaves, dirt, pine needles, or whatever debris may be airborne can and will end up at the bottom of the narrow sleeve. It would be a nearly perfect pack, for its size, if there was some kind of closure/ flap to keep the unwanted out of it.

This bag is ridiculously comfy and I was surpised at how nice the material quality is.

Great pack, use it for training. Expecting to use for a Norwegian march and the field.
Waist is super comfortable and doesn't dig into your hips as traditional rucks do.

I got this pack for my duties during emergencies as a first responder. The pack has plenty of room and pockets. It’s very durable. It also can easily store a 2L hydration bladder or 3L also. Even with the hydration bladder in, there’s still a lot of extra space.

This pack would also be great for use as a bug out bag. Think 72 hours emergency supplies for 3 people.

I highly recommend this pack and additionally purchasing the 2L hydration bladder along with the Large utility pouch. I use the large utility pouch for first aid purposes.

The Halftrack is extremely well-built. It has a thick nylon denier, sturdy buckles, and top-quality stitching. The generous padding for the torso and hip belt is well-placed. The build quality exceeds that of the name brand hiking backpacks I have. This bag will last decades I suspect. And the military green looks awesome. This will make a good 72-hour kit bag when I am not using it for day hikes.

Awesome pack! It has stood up to years of abuse and is still going strong. This bag is well thought out and absolutely perfect for Military applications.

This is what I have been looking for all these years. Gorgeous, practical, sturdy, compact, comfortable. You get more weight than usual but also end up with the best organization out there, in my case, it is definitely worth it. (And if it is comfortable, some weight does not other at all, so there you have it)

There are so many good things to say about the Halftrack. I bought this for a trip to the Grand Canyon in northern Arizona. My family and I booked for a 4 day excursion; the overall hike was 25 miles with drastic elevation changes. This pack fit enough for all 4 days. With a proper fit, the design of the pack fits close to the body with most of the weight on your hips instead of pulling on your shoulders, leaving you with a comfortable fit for whatever your adventure is. The zippers are very strong and the pouches are sturdy. The empty pack isn't too heavy so it doesn't add a lot of weight to your overall pack out. I would definitely recommend the Halftrack to anybody looking for a sturdy pack for a multiple day excursion.

I’ve always been a vertx guy but I just got my first Eberlestock bag and I’ll never go back.

First eberlestock purchase and I’m really impressed with the quality. I bought this to use at PRS matches and there’s plenty of room for my match gear plus rain gear, hydration and I’m able to pack my tripod. Weight is distributed nicely. The shoulder straps are well built and comfortable.

The Halftrack pack was well thought out with all the compartments and mollie. Very many places to store items both inside and out. The material feels very durable as well as the zippers.

First of all I was really impressed with the delivery time, ordered from London, UK, got in in 3 days. I can say this super quality ruck. Really like it. Although I'm not quite sold on the laser cut molle webbing.
