I was hunting in a wild and dangerous place in the world. After smoking some wackie-tobacki to keep warm, I was approached by an Arctodus bear. He was massive, he swung around and looked at me, I looked at him, slowly with my index finger I pointed down to my Eberlestock Recon Bearspray Pouch, Arctodus put his hands up and said, "Chill mate", "I just want to smoke some wackie-tobacki to keep warm." I said "fine" and gave him a smoke. We talked for about an hour, then he had to go. The weird thing, when he left I looked down and realized I actually didn't have any Bearspray in the pouch. Arctodus bear feared the pouch as much as the spray. For this reason I'll give the pouch 5 stars!

The bear spray pouch works great. It holds well, it is well made and the material is very durable. You could also use this for specific, smaller water bottles and other hunting necessities. When put on Molle webbing, it holds tight and doesn't budge much at all. Well made and very functional pouch!

Eberlestock knocked it out of the park again! The pouch can handle any size of Bear Spray.

As a disclaimer, I bought the recon bino harness and I absolutely love it. I’m currently using it for hunting whitetail in the mid Atlantic region. I purchased the recon bearspray pouch to be prepared for any black bear encounters. The design and build of the pouch is great and fits standard sized bear spray cans. The only issue I have with it that the molle connection to the bino harness leaves the pouch hanging floppy. I wish it would hang more flush and firm. Aside from that, I recommend the bino harness and the recon bino harness.

Very solid construction which is great but holds the canister, but holds the canister too high. It rides higher than its center point making it top heavy, so it tends to flop around a lot. I'm also using a canister on the smaller side, so I would imagine a larger canister would have even more problems.
Being able to control how far down the canister sits in the pouch would remedy that problem.
The pouch is nice to have when absolutely necessary, but as it stands, I don't see myself using it much as a result of it being a bit awkward to carry.
