Customers praised this modular pouch for its quiet magnetic closure, convenient tether, and seamless integration with chest harnesses. Most found it "perfect" for quick access during hunting. However, some noted sizing concerns—a few rangefinders didn't fit or the lid barely closed. Others wished for stronger magnetic retention and better weather protection, as snow/rain could enter. A few reported cord breakage issues.

  • Magnet closure opens quietly and easily so as not to spook game
  • The fabric is quiet, my rangefinder easily slides in and out

I love the rangefinder pouch, it holds my easily accessible

I love the rangefinder pouch, it holds my rangefinder right here it is easily accessible and the magnet closure opens quietly and easily so as not to spook game. The cord is great as well then I can just drop it and am not fumbling with trying to put it back when it is time for the shot, though that really isn't an issue as it easily drops back in place.

Too small

I’ve went nuts lately on Eberlestock gear. Bought numerous things. Unfortunately this pouch is too small for my range finder. I really wish they had one a little bigger.

Great Bino Harness w/ Customizable Options

Super solid harness made very well. I am stoked. Got the harness with a range finder pouch and a bear spray pouch. I like the different options to choose from. My wife was so jealous she made me buy her one! Luckily I got them both during the extensive Black Friday sale. I will be buying more products from Eberlestock in the future.
It would be rad to see even more customizable options in the future, such as: tourniquet holders, knife sheath adapters, etc. Almost like a micro chest rig or something. But that’s just me dreaming of all the rad options to mess around with. Anyways, thanks guys for a great product!

Recon Modular Bino Pack and Accessory Pouches

The Recon is a very good, modular chest pack. I bought the large model and most of the accessory pouches. The large model allows for storage in the bottom of the main bino compartment for gloves and 550 cord. The rangefinder pouch holds my rangefinder in the right location and has a spiral lanyard that keeps you from dropping it. I put a tourniquet in the bear spray pouch that is held to the pack with the molle pannel. The utility pouch holds a fire kit. The quick case holds a multitool. Its a great setup. My only recommendation would be to add molle webbing to the bottom of the Recon itself.

Awesome Bino Harness

Super happy with the Recon! I looked around at several other brands to find the best one and landed on the Recon because of the modularity. While whitetail hunting, I can fit most of the gear I need in it and eliminated the need for a backpack. Then I can remove the accessories and use just the harness to store it in the truck for scouting. Can’t go wrong with it!

Recon for Swaro NL Pure 12x42

Great product, love the quality. I recommend the large for the 12x42 size- I ordered small originally and feel it is to tight, large is perfect for the 12x42’s. I have ordered many product from Eberlestock- high quality products, only concern is very slow shipping.

Great pouch

I got ythis yesterday and put it on my recon. I love it. I ran my GSPs this morning through the desert with my Garmin Alpha 200i in this. It held it secure and the lanyard is the perfect length. It is positioned perfectly for my use. I can't close the top to secure it but I can live with that for now. I spend the last two years with the unit on a lanyard and this beats that in everyway. Love the recon as well. Light and well positioned. If yall ever make a taller unit that I and many garmin GPS units can close to secure it I'll buy that too and save this one for my range finder. Until then I'll use it and be a happy camper. Another Eberlestock great product.

The closure flap needs fixing

I really like everything about the Reconbino harness and the accessories including the Recon Range Finder Pouch except that it doesn't stay closed when I'm moving fast or when I store it. The range finder hasn't fallen out but the closure flap doesn't stay connected via the magnet. I think it needs a stronger magnet.

Good but not perfect.

The range finder pouch is made to the same high standards as all of the Eberlestock products I have purchased.
The only improvement that I would suggest, and quite frankly, can’t understand why it wasn’t done, is that the cover flap completely covers the top of the pouch, like the Bino harness. The way it is designed allows rain, snow and debris to enter through the openings on the sides of the top when the cover is closed.

Great pouch for the price

Great pouch for the price. Only drawback is the top lid closure. Wish it was a little more secure, tends to pop open often.

Well made, accessible, and very quiet!

I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but the quality is obvious. I'm coming from a badlands bino harness that has served me well, but has some issues. I like this whole recon system because of the modularity and ability to add what you need. For early season whitetail hunts especially, I'm going to eliminate the need for a pack because of what all I can carry in this rig. The thing that I like about the range finder pouch is how quiet it is. The fabric is quiet, my range finder easily slides in and out. It's not in the way when I draw my bow. I can return the rangefinder to the pouch without looking, and if I close it, it does so very quietly, instead of with a loud snap like some magnetic closure systems have. I'm very excited to hunt with the Recon system this fall!

Fits snuggly, magnetic close lid is convenient, and the lanyard is rhe cherry on top. Great addition to my Gunslinger 2. No more zippers or snaps to get my rangefinder out.

Very well made and perfect size, using it to hold a LiPo battery for amateur radio portable setup with the Recon Chest harness and the Multipack bag.

RANGEFINDER POUCH - OUTLET

In my experience, it is an excellent design and manufactured using high quality materials. The $31.50 outlet price to value proposition is very compelling. In my experience, this is a great outdoor pouch to store extra batteries, lens cloth, filter caps and other bits and pieces while capturing still images of all sorts of landscape and seascapes. In my experience, EBERLESTOCK is consistent in bringing awesome designs that are well executed in form and functionality, utility and performance.
