great back pack. after hiking many mile the rifle gets very heavy but not with the gunrunner.

Bought this to have a single pack and rifle carrier for trekking to and from my white tail stands. Has more than enough room for everything I need. The straps proved easily adjustable and comfortable for my needs. It did exactly what I was hoping it would do and has made one of the paths I need to take incalculably better. That path takes me over a fence, through a pasture, then through a stretch of sagging fence, under barbed wire, and then through briars. I have to remove the pack to get under the barbed wire, but then the rest leaves my hands open and allows me to fight through the journey with ease.

I was looking for a happy medium between spacious and compact for a backpack to attend a precision shooting course. The course offers a woodlands ops portion and needed a daypack. I was referred to Eberlestock and I’m glad I was. This backpack is top quality. Spacious enough for a few days on the move and a protective rifle scabbard. Design and materials are top notch. Overall pack profile is small enough not to be cumbersome. I would definitely refer this brand backpack to others. The rifle is suppressed Sig Cross for size comparison.

THREE STAR RATING FOR THE FOLLOWING:

Design—2 Stars—The hip belt padding is too short to effectively bear the weight of the pack on the hips as it should. The quick buckle strap on the Hip Belt is too narrow to be of any use. The Rifle pocket is relatively narrow; therefore, I could barely fit my SBR / AR with STEINER red dot optic and Mil-Spec pistol grip. My M40A5 with tactical stock and Variable Optic did not fit. I expect it would fit most bolt-action hunting rifles with traditional stocks and common hunting optics.
Material and Hardware - 4 Stars - The quality of the material and hardware met my expectations, providing reassurance about the durability and reliability of the product.
Eberlestock Customer Service - 0 Stars - Marked as in stock it took 14 days to ship. When I attempted to contact them to cancel the order before it was shipped because of the delay, I was told I had to wait to receive it only to send it back at my expense and claim a refund. I was deployed before it arrived and my wife sent it to me at FPO. I have decided to keep it only because it is not worth the cost and hassle to return it, but I cannot endorse or recommend Eberlestock as a company based on their inability to proactively address customer service issues, resulting in a failure of good client relations.
