This pack is designed for hands-free hunting and quick access to your rifle, and has just the right amount of stowage for a day’s outing. The top compartment is a good size for rangefinders, calls, etc., and the main compartment is sized for a day’s worth of food and clothing. Great product adjustable, extremely well made, great choice of colors. Perfect for day hunts. Tactical Rifle or shotgun all work.
Like the tail option that you can tuck it away when using AR .
There are two options to cover the butt of rifle. They look like they would work for me in Wisconsin or U O. Michigan.Tge problem is it looks like there is no zipper . I hunt in Southern Arizona in winter . Travel in side by sides. Big time fine particle dust . It won't keep the dust out without being zippered 100 % closed. I have to use a gun Case then transfer into the scabbard . Would like to zipper on storage compartment for same reason. This is why I give the pack 4 stars.

Overall I really like the pack so far. The reason I purchased the pack is for an upcoming shooting comp. The rifle and scope variant that I’m using did not fit in the rifle slot. After some modification to the rifle slot, the rifle now fits and I look forward to using this pack.

I just received the beautiful gunrunner pack and am working to set it up for day hikes with an emergency overnight capability.
I actually just sent in a question regarding a compatible chest unit for field glasses that would work with the pack straps.
