This pack is awesome for every Hunting trip. Weekend trips up to your 7-10 day back country hunts. Durability is without question Eberlestock Specs. Love it!
So far I'm extremely happy with my purchase. It paired perfectly with my eberlestock frame. I have been using it to haul bear bait, and also used it to pack my bear out. I'm able to haul more weight comfortably than my other packs. Looking forward to elk season
Bag is super light as advertised but I was worried about durability being so thin but it looks great, with rip stop feel I’m not worried about going through the bush with it on my back.
Fits with the Batwings and 2L pouches for about, err, 6000ci or something thereabouts. It’s big enough while being foldable and not too top heavy. Adaptable to carry a massive load. I like the center compartment though had thoughts it may wear down, and so I use it with the med/AN2Ps or whatever (4 total on waist), then pair it with a Laser Cut Cargo dealio and the shorter but more robust frame (airline) if you want to try and be more BA about the suck. It actually deserves a decently awesome review...Eberle are the tits...perhaps they can hone some more though. I used to have the 6500 drybag (“too big” for most, trust me), and so the 5000 Vapor was a worthwhile additional purchase especially with the shipping options. I haven’t loaded to 90lb yet, and may never need to again, but it is VERY comfortable under load up to 60. Maybe these folks can verify a max capacity for the freaks among us. First go around I got an H7 Dag pack free, perfect distance run pack btw, loveEberle...the only thing I wouldn’t do is wear the hat lol, make a boonie, duh.
I purchased the main frame tall and Vapor 5000 to hunt and backpack. I have been a wildland firefighter for twenty two years and have carried lots of weight with numerous packs. This pack is the most comfortable pack that I have ever used. I loaded it with about 45 pounds for a weekend test run backpacking trip. I did not notice the weight. Very well build, versatile system that adjusts quickly, lightweight, durable and good quality. I can't believe how easy it is to change the configuration of the pack and adjust everything to fit just right. Well worth the investment. I am an Eberlestock fan for life.
