Great little chest rig. Not too big and not too small. I like the option for small side attachments. The rig is really comfortable and stays in place and tight to my chest. The Molle attachment on the back is really great idea and can easily hold your CamelBack or Eberlestock's 2 liter bag or whatever you want and keep a few essentials keep it light and tight, when thats all that you need.
I was able to carry my single stack Kimber 45. Although when I bent over sometimes it would wanna slide out and I’d have to be careful and kind of hold it (i’m guessing the vast majority will be carrying a much lighter weapon and this will not be a problem).
I added a piece of paracord so that I could prevent my weapon from falling out and also remain hands-free.
The Bino’s would want to fall out about 75% of the time bending over at the waist, as I was doing while looking for arrowheads, but wanted to keep the ability to glass in the hills while out in the field. The magnet should be much stronger in my opinion and I think that a secondary latch that is optional to use in event you’re going to be working low to the ground, would be a great improvement. I also think that a quick release lanyard rather than the semi permanent lanyard should be the standard for this neat little rig. I would like to be able to remove the binoculars from my chest rig much more and quickly re-attach and drop back in the rig. The small zipper in the front is quite small and will only hold flat items with a large bino the case, but it’s nice to have, although you have to be pretty picky of what you put into it.
These are reasons why I gave it 4 stars, otherwise it comfortable, quiet and functional and adaptable with the modular options on back of Shoulder harness and the sides of the case 🇺🇸
Scout Bino Pack (Small) - V2
Fit and finish are great. Silent opening is smooth and offers easy access to your glasses.
Have had a chance to use it a good bit during the last month of deer season here, and train with it on for an upcoming hunt out west later this year. Holds a pair of 10x40’s just right. Easy access and stays shut when you want it to. The fit under my pack is great, forget that it’s there. The only thing I would say is this, the back slot is billed as a pistol holder for smaller frames, I found it doesn’t work unless your going to run no holster at all. Not my cup of tea and didn’t find it that comfortable with the frame digging into my chest, just wound up running a holster on the M1’s waist belt through the molle...👌🏼, however the sleeve is absolutely perfect fit for the cell. Quick quiet access for OnX, camera, texts etc. Range finder pouch slides on the bottom strap and stays put. So all in all I’m very happy with it.
Nice product wish you guys made a little pouch or rangefinder I should say square pouch for rangefinder
