I use mine for hunting. It holds what I need, excellent quality. Had this and my bino harness out in a rainstorm, kept everything inside it dry, and the pack itself dried out with no issues. I'll probably buy another for EDC use
Well made great quality very pleased with overall pack.
This my second Eberlestock pack. I have been looking for a great small day pack. I went with the Bandit RMEF!! It did not disappoint! This pack is small but has enough room for a fair amount of gear. It holds the 3LT Source hydration bladder . It also holds my Jetboil stove, MSR CUPS , a couple of single person Mountain-house meals and coffee. I rolled my North Face Gortex pants, and Gortex coat and loaded them in. This pack has adjustable features normally found on larger more expensive packs, it includes moveable shoulder straps! You can purchase the standard padded waist belt. I recommend getting it, in installs and uninstalls in about ten seconds. If your looking for an intelligently designed day pack, look no further, you have found it! Pack Perfection! The customer service and sales team are the best in the business, they are fast and knowledgeable. Thanks Noah for all you did for me! Mark
This pack is well made, light weight and I added a hip belt, that's just a personal preference.
Love the pack, best one I’ve had to date. However, the zippers are a little stubborn and one more small external compartment would make it just about perfect. Lastly, hydro access from both sides would be greatly appreciated. If I could find a pack with these improvements, I’d definitely buy it again.
Overall I like it and it will be a good backpack but not one I can use for a day hunt for big game in Western US mountains. I like to prepare for the unknown so will need more capacity that the Bandit offer. No waist band either.
Perfect size little day backpack to take scouting or prepping. I’ve used the pack with a 3-litre water pack so far hiking. Comfortable pack fit well and light weight. High quality material and zipper. Great stuff just as consistent as all Eberlestock gear.
Great product.
Took this pack on my fishing trip to Alaska and it worked great as a carryon and as a 1 day pack. Looking forward to using it in September on my archery elk hunt!
The Team Elk Bandit has everything you need for a light and fast day trip. I like the fact that there are no dividers in the main compartment (just a hydration sleeve) so its easy to pack in a coat and camera. I added the standard hip belt and attached a small accessory pouch (for GPS, PLB, or game calls) and a couple of mini pouches for ammunition. I thought the body of the pack might not be tall enough for the hip belt to sit comfortably but it seems to work okay so far. I have a number of Eberlestock packs suited to different jobs and this one is perfect for a minimalist mission. Contributing to the great work of the Elk Foundation is a bonus
