Very well made however I wish I had gotten the bigger one. It is pretty much barely big enough to put Binoculars in and close the lid. If you just want to easily cary your bins then this is the bag for you, anything more get the larger bag
The Scout is very well made and is comfortable as I really like the harness system. It is in fact a “small” Bino pack so if you are planning on using 10x42 or larger, I would purchase a larger pack. My 10x42 did fit but were difficult to remove/replace. (Swarovski NL Pure)
Great pack! Fits my binos perfectly and the harness is one of the best I’ve worn. Easy to switch to wear it with the harness or on a backpack with the chest mount kit. Highly recommend.
Well made good fit on a dagger pack for bow turkey hunting. I own 3 EB packs. Love the quality and price.
Wish there was side pouches.
Nice, comfy, roomy. My only complaint is that the "concealed carry" pocket is basically useless because of the straps. It's virtually impossible to retrieve the concealed carry while wearing the pack.
Likes the way it sits tight to chest , and gun butt stock doesn’t hit case as I shoulder gun from sitting position
Works great for me. Was exactly what I was looking for.
Love Eberlestock I have three back packs and the bino pack. But the built in holster is worthless. Even with my small carry pistol the lid will not close right. The lid closes in between the gun and itself. Had high hopes but a complete flop on the holster idea. And the tether idea is another area that would not take much to improve. A bungee cord and no easy way or a quick connect to get the binoculars free from the pack. If it wasn’t a Christmas present I would have returned it. Also got the Bandit back pack love the bag but a single layer bottom really. I noticed it when I had an object in the bag with a semi sharp end and it was just about poking through. I question the durability of a single layer fabric bottom. A cheap $15 back pack from Walmart has padding and or multiple layers for wear tear when bag is setting on the ground. Like I said love their stuff and I know they know better. All my other Eberlestock products are 5 star worthy but not these two.
Overall, I love the form factor and small size. It fits my Bushnell Nitro 10x42 snugly and my Hawke Frontier EDX 8x32 with some room to spare. A few annoying things keep this from 5 stars. First, the pocket on the front should be large enough for a phone. They have the real estate, but it wasn't designed appropriately (why the angle). My phone will fit in there, but it will not zip. If the space above the zipper was open, it would be close, but they stitched that shut. Second, the retention strap seems it was an after thought. One loop of shock cord is sewn in. It is only designed to connect to one side. It is cumbersome and in the way. I opted not to use it, and designed my own quick detach system (this should come standard and has been on cheaper harnesses I own). Overall, it serves it's purpose; a small, lightweight protector for my binoculars. The MOLLE on the back is a nice touch as well. A matching rangefinder case would be nice. Fix the above issues, and this may become the best in the industry.
