So far the harness and hip belt of the Kite fit very well.
Definitely an upgrade to my previous backpack in that size.
My first Eberlestock pack was the Bandit. That convinced me to replace my 72 hour pack with this Eberlestock Kite.
Newb buyer, first time purchasing these type of backpacks, impressed with the quality materials. So much to learn and figure out what I want to do with the bag, almost overwhelming, but I'll get the hang of it. Bought for a bugout bag, being modular will come in handy, lots of room for addons and proper weight distribution.
Looks like I'm going to stick with Eberlestock for my dedicated hunting pack in the near future, I don't see any point looking elsewhere. I know what to expect and looks like they'll last a lifetime. I wish they were all made in the USA, but it's not a deal breaker.
Bought this pack to go with my F1 frame for a late season high buck hunt in WA. The Pack performed well however it was slightly smaller than I would have liked. Also in order to attach it to the F1 frame you have to purchase an additional set of bindings and it’s not a zip on attachment which the F1 frame is set up. On the inside of the pack there is no place to secure a hydration bladder or any type of hole to allow a hose to pass through and the side pockets seem tapered at the bottom the stretch is only at the top.
Other than that it’s a very nice pack lightweight and perfect for one day hunts wouldn’t recommend anything over two days as a sleeping system takes up most of the internal space add food and water and an extra set of socks and skivies and your running out of room fast. I really like the front open flap as well as the roll open top and buckle system resembling a waterproofing bag.
Quality materials strong zippers and good colors. I’ll be buying another larger bag for this years hunts.
This backpack has become my daily go to. I added a 10.75”x21” Molle panel to help organize my gear inside. I never use the roll top, though added a zippered molle pocket on the lid for small items that I needed to grab quickly without accessing the interior of the pack.
Designed perfectly. Recommend this pack to everyone.
The Kite day pack is extremely well made and fit great. It will work well on my F1Mainframe.
What can i say... its EBERLESTOCK!!!
Showed up quicker than expected, it’s also larger than expected. I have not used it yet, but look forward to it
The Kite pack is perfect for my needs. It's well built and a heavy duty pack. I purchased the gatekeeper hook up kit for more carry options. I'm waiting on the laser cut utility panel to come back in stock to complete my rig.
Designed very well for the comfort.
I upgraded from an Osprey to the Kite. Just completed my first trek with this pack and it performed admirably. 15.5 miles of back country wilderness through old growth forest, creeks surrounded by laurels, briar patches, and over foothill area mountains. I was able to carry my water, food, shelter, ammo, and all the rest. It survived it all without a scratch and made sure I survived too.
