Third Eberlestock pack I’ve bought after the Terminator and Half-Track. I love how adjustable the Switchblade is, and that it takes a hip-belt, which is hard to find in a smaller pack (small loads can be heavy too). The same great quality and design, as expected from these guys.
The materials and stitching are high quality. Especially love the zippers which tend to be where some soft goods manufacturers try to save some cost. CCW pocket is a bit hard to access with a full pack and full size pistol. Better accommodating to a compact or smaller. The only additional I would like is if the main compartment of the pack was a bit bigger.
I had the same Cannae bag for almost 6 years, and while there was nothing wrong with it, I decided not was time for an upgrade for my everyday carry. I bought the Switchblade, and I’m really happy I did. It has much more room and more compartments. The only issue I have is the color I chose, which is Coyote Brown. I feel that it’s not the right color for use with Army OCP. If I could do it all over, I would have probably ordered it in Dry Earth.
This is my first Eberlestock bag. So far, its been great. the main compartment is a good size and my IPad Pro 12.9 fits perfectly in the center divider. The little side pockets on the inside are a nice touch. I’ve carried multiple different brands of bags, and this by far is the best. Its comfortable to carry, however, the longest I’ve carried it at one time was around an hour. My only complaint is that the main compartment zippers sometimes get “pinched” and you have to use two hands to get them zipped or unzipped.
Lightweight and portable. Pockets are easily accessible. The conceal Cary pocket is the perfect size
This has proven to be the most versatile day pack I've ever owned. It is easy to reconfigure from hunting to EDC to travel. I like the Gray Man version because it doesn't stand out with a bunch of Molle straps and velcro.
Overall, I'm very glad I made the purchase.
Overall a very good pack. Only downside is that the way the main compartment zipper is designed. When the pack is full and you unzip the main compartment with the pack flat on the ground items fall out of the pack.
Awesome pack for everyday use!!
I’ve only had it a couple weeks but I usually have 30+ pounds in my bag and it feels solid
