Great pack; large interior space and plenty of pockets and interior organization. Frame is a little short for my torso (I'm about 6'3") and isn't adjustable -so I either have the waistband sit too high or the load too low. Pack material is super loud and crinkly below 45, but has decent water resistance. Good value for the money.
It's a good piece of kit, but somewhat over-engineered. I dont mind that, but if you are not in good physical shape, this backpack might not be for you. The reason I am saying that is that the Renegade is a heavy day pack, so a lot of non-hikers might look at this one to fill that need. It is meant for the serious hiker/hunter.
Eberle stock quality 100% pleased. I am 5'9", shirt legs but a long torso. The waist straps don't rest on my hips and rest somewhere between my hips and ribs. I have worn it for spring turkey so I have not needed to carry out anything heavy yet. My shotgun sling stays on my shoulder just fine without additional effort. I mention this because some other packs felt like I was balancing my gun all day. This pack doesn't have many pockets, like two total: the main and on top by your head. For a day pack, more pockets would be my preference instead of buying waterproof bags that fit inside the main area.
Great pack for the money. I use many Eberlestock products, but particularly their F1 mainframe with various attachments while hunting big game in the mouintain west and Alaska. The quality and variability of these systems never disappoint. I bought two Renegade packs for both son's and these are great packs for the money.
Great backpack! Lots of room and we'll made.
I bought for my wife, more for and overnight pack, she loves it along with the fit.
The pack is excellent. The problem came with the “frequently bought together” graphic that was offering a hydration bladder. I added the bladder. When it arrived, I discovered that there is no internal sleeve for a hydration bladder and no internal attachment to hang it on despite having a hose port on each side of the pack. It’s like they only designed half of the hydration system. I really do like this pack but if you want to add hydration it’s a crappy design.
I have been on multiple day trips with my renegade and I also bought the 3 liter bladder. I would suggest getting 2 bladders b/c the holders are on the side and with one, you have to offset the weight. Even with one bladder it is an awesome bag. I bought mine on sale but is definitely worth the normal price. I would definitely suggest this to anyone looking for a high quality comfortable day bag!!!
Got it for my wife fits her great. She loves it
Overall I like the pack. I purchased the 3ltr hydro with it . I wish there was a compartment for it to protect the bladder.
