For context, my primary usage of this bag has been in deployed overseas service & home hiking.
I heartily recommend this bag for any use case. I am an RTO within a Light Infantry unit - this bag has been a godsend. It is extremely comfortable, innovative with regards to organization, and beyond well built. It can accommodate enough supplies for 7-10 days in the field if you pack light appropriately and are facing temperate weather. It fits well over USGI Body Armor, but I cannot personally attest to its compatibility with aftermarket plate carriers and the like.
For hiking purposes, this bag is excellent. It is by no means ultralight, but if you don't mind the extra ounces, you will feel very comfortable for extended hikes with the bag. If additional space is necessary, Eberlestock's saddle bags are excellent.
During my deployment, I participated in a 92.6 mile ruck challenge over the course of nine days. This was my bag of choice for that challenge - suffice to say, for me, it was worth every penny.
This is a great hunting pack that i can keep ready to use. Extra deep pockets keep items secure when having to move quickly. Material is quiet so when stalking slow reduces noise. Awesome all around
As long-term Australian users of Eberlestock packs ( Terminator, Tomahawk, Destroyer, Bandits etc) now entering into our 11th year of hard field use, the FAC Track is another excellent addition to our mission-focused pack line used by our crew. Generally, our equipment is run to the ground after a year of use in the harsh desert conditions we work in, but our Eberlestock packs just keep punching after years of use.
Those who are new to Eberelstock should expect a high-quality product and great service from the team at Eberlestock. Our FAC pack was shipped from the US to a remote part of Australia. As expected, it arrived in excellent condition and on time and was immediately put to work on a scorching hot, rugged terrain, desert search and rescue job the very next day.
I bought this for a rugged daily/weekend use pack for general use. The size is perfect, not too big, and scalable by adding accessories. The built in sleeves for hydration bladders do rob some of the space in the main compartment, so I added the saddle bags for bladders. Pics are the FAC Track with saddle bags, 2L accessory pouches on front and hip. This will work great for weekend hiking, as a carry on for flights (without accessories), or just daily general use. Love it!
This is a very nice, spacious, and well thought out pack. I fit everything into it from my old pack with some room to spare. It is a huge step up for me. The ONLY detraction is I wish the main waist buckle used a Cobra buckle instead of the plastic. I would be happy to pay for the upgrade if it were available.
Eberlestock definitely made it right but I ended up with the Half Track by accident. Quality bag but the side pockets are a little odd. I would honestly prefer to have gone with the fac track because of the top opening, admin pockets, and the single layer side channels.
Using the FAC pack as my new PRS loadout pack. Very happy with everything so far. Holds more than enough gear for a two day match. Back rides very comfortably with 40+ pounds of gear.
Ive had the back about a month now, it is designed well, fits great, and i have zero doubts about weather it can handle my abuse.
I needed a pack with a little more room to carry my match day equipment. The storage is about perfect and I found I could neatly organize my gear. I really bought the pack because of the full length tubes on the side which are perfect for carrying a tripod. I also liked the waist belt to distribute weight to my hips. Zippers are smooth and the construction seems very durable. That’s why I purchased an Eberlestock pack.
Excellent ergonomics, accessibility, quality material and build.
Perfect Area for the radio I will purchase for hiking, etc.
