I absolutely love the Renegade for saddle hunting. My sticks can be packed on the sides, platform on the back, and any meat can be hauled in the main compartment. I needed this after my Alice pack started to wear out and it’s unbelievable how nice this bag is.

Bought this for my son for Christmas, he is very happy with it.

Great materials and design. Looking forward to using the pack for many years to come.

I love this frame pack. It’s just the right size to use as a day pack or larger equipment carrier, depending on how much you stuff it and what Mille Electra you use. The frame and hip belt are dialed in perfectly.

I bought this pack for a hunting trip in Northern MO. I hiked over 20 miles in 4 days and hardly noticed the pack was even on my back. It works perfectly to hold all my saddle hunting gear and couldn’t be more pleased.

Bags a little smaller than I anticipated based off what I saw in the pictures (should’ve paid closer attention to the dimensions), but otherwise it’s great quality. The back and lumbar padding really feel great. Not like other bags with the outer layer of mesh that seems to tear easily and wear out before the break-in is done.
I really like that it can be top loaded or front loaded. Really makes it easier digging for items from the bottom of the bag.
I planned on using this mostly for saddle hunting but I don’t think it’s large enough to fit a saddle and platform if you plan on packing any meat out. If I find that not to be the case I’ll update the review but regardless it still works great for overnight or day hikes.

This backpack was the perfect gift for my son for Christmas. Excellent quality. And when I had questions about this product the customer service was outstanding.

This shows to be a very well built bag. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is 1. It hasn’t had a chance to prove its longevity, and 2. Lack of pockets. Eberlestock could do a better job explaining features in the description.

the amazing customer support helped me get this bag quick after it got lost in the mail and the sent the second one out without delay. So five stars for that but this bag really held up in the field too and saved my hunting trip. I was able to easily pack everything in my bag and headed out, one of my first impressions was how comfortable this bag is. After getting to my hunting spot I finished making camp I went out to go hunt. I made a rookie mistake not putting my rain cover on my tent and while out hunting it began to rain. By the time I made it back to camp my tent was a soaking went and water had filled up the base. I had not unpacked anything else it was all still in my bag. I pulled my bag from a pool of water and it was dripping water. To my shock, when I opened the pack everything inside was bone dry. This bag is NOT a waterproof bag but it was able to hold up to the rain and the base was able to hold it above water enough that everything stayed dry. After airing out my tent the hunt was back on and I was able to bring home the bacon. 6 stars if I could give it
