I researched countless bino harnesses before pulling the trigger on the nosegunner. I knew I needed a pistol carry option, forward open, and a magnetic closure. That narrowed the market to a few models. The slightly larger size and the APSK chest kit were what closed the deal for me. My Leupold BX-2 10x42 fit great. I’ve done two hikes 6 miles each using with both the harness, and the backpack chest kit. APSK is going to be my preferred option as I like to always have a pack and it also allows the harness to sit a little higher on the chest which is preferable to me. I carried a .44special the first hike and Springfield XD subcompact on the second. .44 was completely concealed, you could see a little of the XD but both were fine. I wish the standard harness has the same small piece of elastic material as the APSK as I noticed that little bit of flex made it a tad more comfortable when my breathing was increased or the terrain was rougher. As many others have mentioned I wish the side pockets were a little larger, but I carried my truck keys in one and windage checker in the other. Plenty of room inside for my minimalist wallet. Overall I’m excited about my choice. The NAILED IT with the Nosegunner.
