This is the second binocular carrier I have owned and is by far the better of the two because it completely covers the binocular and provides four different storage areas: a zippered pocket on each side, a pocket inside front that is a double pocket, and the storage area in back were a handgun can be stored.
My Nikon 8x42s fit in nicely, with room for larger binoculars.
The handgun storage doesn't meet my needs because the grip, or in my case the grip and the hammer, are exposed. Mainly I am concerned that the handgun is visible and less that it is not completely covered. That is shown clearly on this Eberlestock page. And all of my current handguns have red dot optics. They would not fit.
The slot in back, shown as way to carry a handgun, will carry my iPhone, rangefinder or point and shoot camera. The other storage pockets will carry items that are necessary for my hunts: tags, knife, cartridges, powder/bullets/primers for my muzzleloader, flashlight, extra blades for my Havalon knife, cloth to clean my scope, etc.
I will ask Eberlestock for some help on selected a small pack to attach on the back. A pack wide enough to accept my handgun completely enclosed would be most useful.
The Nosegunner goes on easily and once in place stays in place. It does not swing around.
