Awesome pack, haven’t camped with it yet or hunted, but have been using it on hikes and she’s hunts, awesome product!
Right out of the box the Team Elk Pack was clearly put together with superior workmanship and materials. The pocket space was well thought out, and plentiful, and the pack fits comfortably on a wide variety of body types, as it’s highly adjustable. I love the rifle carry system. I was considering a comparable Badlands pack and their carry system was flimsy next to the Team Elk. Only two things that bother me. First, the water carry system is off balance. It sits either to the left or the right of your back and not centered. Second, at the price point for the pack, I would have appreciated it if there was a carrying case at the waist that was included in the price. Eberlestock sells a wonderful carrying case, but you have to pay extra. That issue is minor, and all in all it’s a wonderful piece of equipment.
I first got this pack from joining RMEF as a life member. This past season of hunting I used this pack during 3rd season rifle in Colorado. I love the scabbard that's incorporated in it. Makes carrying your rifle much easier over long distances. It's also very easy to get to, should you see game on the trail. I tended to over pack it since it holds so much gear but I trimmed some weight over the days of hunting. Didn't have the fortune of loading it down with elk but I have carried my daughter in it (50#) pre-season for training and it feels great. This is my second pack now since our trailer got stolen on our way back from the hunt. Would purchase another if that ever happened again.
Very nice pack for the price.
