The X41 HiSpeed II has a unique contour shape that tapers at both the top and the bottom, giving the pack an excellent close-to-the-body ride. The pack is fully compressible with pairs of side-mounted compression straps that draw the load upward to optimally position the packs contents over the wearers center-of-gravity. The X41 has two generously sized form-following pockets on the exterior of the upper and lower front flaps. MOLLE-10 lightweight webbing is used, to which you can attach conventional 25mm MOLLE accessories.
The interior features include a hydration sleeve (WX2L and WXP3L hydration systems sold separately), two document / laptop sleeves, a mesh zippered pocket, MOLLE compatible webbing, and a fold-away shelf that allows you to either segregate or combine the top and bottom interior load space. Built in 420 denier ripstop nylon. Comes with our polycarbonate Gossamer frame.

How To Properly Fit And Adjust Your Pack
Just took it backpacking in Mexico, handled anything I could throw at it - I was nervous about the size but it lives up to a review where someone stated they were using it for a three day pack - I will be taking it on my next Camino walk as I feel it will be ideal. I wish it would have strap attachments at the bottom to lash a sleeping bag to but I can figure something out for that but even still, for a smart packer it has a lot of room.
Just received this pack for Christmas. I already have used it and am in love with it. I was looking at getting either this one or the G1 Little Brother and was leaning toward the G1 (I'm partial to rectangular packs for some reason), but I am now super happy I received the Hispeed II. This pack has a gossamer frame sheet and a hip belt included, and both make the pack great as a small or even medium sized pack. It holds far more than it looks like it should. It is a little taller than similar sized packs by other manufacturers, which means that the load is carried closer to your back. As a result, this pack is super comfortable. Use it without the hip belt and it will carry great, put the hip belt on and you will just plain forget that you are wearing a pack at all. It has just enough pockets on it that are the right size to make it great for organizing, without chopping the pack up too much to put larger items in, and has their molle 10 webbing attachment system for adding more pockets outside AND inside if needed. Great job Eberlestock!
Lots of well thought out organisation, comfortable back-padding and shoulder straps that you can adjust to fit perfectly.
I purchased it for my wife and she really likes it.
Got the pack in and it appear to be very well thought out and properly built. I was concerned about the size when I first ordered it as I was used to buying larger assault/3-day packs. Once again when I first got it I was somewhat disappointed at the size and space available. But as I went to load it and really thought about my new job and up coming task I found the modularity of it and the well thought out design of the pockets/compartments was a great benefit and made perfect sense for what I planned on using it for, a traveling/day pack. Where as my old packs had large main compartments that could hold all my essential items, I was constantly having to organize it them by the frequency of what I use on top. Plus I would have to find safe secure ways to store a multitude of items. I found myself constantly looking through the whole pack every time I need one little thing. This pack eliminates all that. Everything has its own space and is accessible no matter how I am getting into each compartment. I currently have my essentials loaded and was able to upgrade my load out based on task or weather with ease and plenty of room left over for anything I may need later or come across. Over all the more I use the pack the more I appreciate it and am happy with putting my money into this product and company. It’s also very comfortable to wear no matter the weight or duration.
