Would be nice to have 4 anchor points on each side. Maybe 1 top and bottom also. Otherwise nice pack! Waiting on batwings to add.
Haven’t had a chance to use it hunting but have been using for the MTNTOUGH 45-70 Fitness program to start getting ready for next year’s Colorado hunting trip. Extremely comfortable and the customizability of this pack is next to none!
Looks good and fits good. It seems comfortable and light weight. Hopefully I will get a chance to test it out soon.
To be used as a back-country hauler for my portable capstan winch, and primarily as a rifle pack for regular ski trips patroling the property. Excellent quality, fit and finish.
Great products and fast shipping through Eberlestock.
Female hunting gear is difficult to come by. I purchased this bag as a gift for a female hunter after an extensive conversation with the customer service team at eberlestock. This pack fit my girlfriend who stands at 5'6" and 130lbs at best. I must point out that I don't own one of these myself and I was envious of how comfortable she was hauling gear in Southern Arizona.
Good quality very comfortable haven’t used in the field yet but no question it will do what it’s made for
I have had an F1 Mainframe since 2017. It went into the backcountry after Bighorn sheep for 3 years, carrying all of my camp gear in a Zip on Dry Bag and the batwings. It worked wonderfully together on all those treks. great weight distribution on my shoulders and my hips. It has been used in the late season in northern Alberta and has packed out 5 cow elk, even fitting multiple quarters on it snugly and securely. It has been used to pack moose out on short trips (thank goodness it went closer to the road!). And been able to pack out a whole whitetail buck broken down properly. This pack coupled with the batwings, the zip on dry bag, and some extra 25mm straps is seriously underrated. Its light, strong and tough and can be used in so many ways! I love the modular aspects with Eberlestocks packs!
F1 mainframe is awesome. Recommend adjustment to vapor 2500 pack to sit lower so weight is able to be transferred to frame. Zippered in feature is very nice, but if it were able to rest on the bottom of the frame, it would allow for weight to be felt in the pack and not hanging back and away. I’ve spent 4.5 years in the usmc infantry, hunt a lot, and I do recommend the F-1 mainframe to others. If going the Vapor attachment route, purchase the larger sizes (>2500).
