Love the pack just almost too small for what I’m doing, really wish you had a med size. Let’s see if it stretches a little as it breaks in. Otherwise it fits very comfortable and hold my binoculars and pistol but doesn't quite close all the way.... maybe I need a smaller pistol
The case and harness are an xlnt start.
The zippered pocket is good for a lens cloth or hunting license and that’s kind of it.
Needed: A smart phone pocket (for taking pictures) either inside or in back of the case. Maybe modify the pistol sheath so the phone inserts deeper in back, or, add a smooth rigid divider inside the case and eliminate the chest padding which is actually not really needed. My iPhone 11 extends above the top of the pack when inserted in the pistol sheath... usable but the phone is not protected from the elements.
The system works great and rides high which is why I went with the scout. Great fit and finish.
One more note. I could not find fabric descriptions on the website. I had to return the gray system and reorder a camo system so I could get a quiet fabric for hunting. (I should have known better but I’m not that smart.)
My Marine Vet husband absolutely loves this pack for carrying while hiking. Bravo 🙌🏻
Great little chest rig. Not too big and not too small. I like the option for small side attachments. The rig is really comfortable and stays in place and tight to my chest. The Molle attachment on the back is really great idea and can easily hold your CamelBack or Eberlestock's 2 liter bag or whatever you want and keep a few essentials keep it light and tight, when thats all that you need.
I was able to carry my single stack Kimber 45. Although when I bent over sometimes it would wanna slide out and I’d have to be careful and kind of hold it (i’m guessing the vast majority will be carrying a much lighter weapon and this will not be a problem).
I added a piece of paracord so that I could prevent my weapon from falling out and also remain hands-free.
The Bino’s would want to fall out about 75% of the time bending over at the waist, as I was doing while looking for arrowheads, but wanted to keep the ability to glass in the hills while out in the field. The magnet should be much stronger in my opinion and I think that a secondary latch that is optional to use in event you’re going to be working low to the ground, would be a great improvement. I also think that a quick release lanyard rather than the semi permanent lanyard should be the standard for this neat little rig. I would like to be able to remove the binoculars from my chest rig much more and quickly re-attach and drop back in the rig. The small zipper in the front is quite small and will only hold flat items with a large bino the case, but it’s nice to have, although you have to be pretty picky of what you put into it.
These are reasons why I gave it 4 stars, otherwise it comfortable, quiet and functional and adaptable with the modular options on back of Shoulder harness and the sides of the case 🇺🇸
