Great addition to the mid layers of my hunting gear. Served me well during the latter parts of September.
Light, comfortable and a warm layer. Worth every penny… will get a second one one
Pioneer Half Zip Hoody
I found the Pioneer Half Zip Hoody to be well made, warm, and functional. This is my first piece of clothing from Eberlestock. I have been wearing it as a mid-layer in a wide range of activities at the end of a Minnesota winter. I purchased a medium. I am 5’9” and 160 lbs. and it fits perfectly. I found the grid fleece to be very warm. I am looking forward to trying it as an outer layer as temperatures start to warm. I very pleased with my purchase.
Very comfortable and a get add to my Eberlestock layering system. I do wish it didn't ball up as much as it does. For the price of it it shouldn't do that. It started to ball up after the first time I wore it.
This is a fantastic mid-layer piece especially when paired with the Bruneau on cold wet days. I love the thumb holes. It fits great and is light weight yet warm. It does tend to ball up a bit. The small pocket is nice to have as well. It looks great and fits perfectly. I will be purchasing more of these in the future.
Good fit, light and warm for its size. Material is fine against skin but clingy when worn over merino. When you layer the Bruneau hoody (which is ultra light) over the merino and under this its perfect. Took that combo down to an average of 28-34F and rainy/foggy on multiple trips covering an average of 9 miles steelhead fishing. Wearing an uninsulated rain jacket when needed as an outer layer. Breathes well and air dries way faster than expected for its weight. Only flaw is the material tends to get small balls of fuzz building up wear it rubs against waders or rain gear. Interesting to see how well it holds up in the long term. Still great due to its warmth to weight ratio.
Universal midlayer usable for hunting activities in rough terrain and for all other outdoor activities, such as backcountry skiing
The half zip hoody is light weight and warm.
I kind of liked but also had to have the bruneau hoody. Never liked the hood on it because it wouldn't allow me to hear like I should. Long story short, each piece of kit has its purpose. I got the pioneer half zip hoody and that thing works better in every way a Montana archery hunter wants it too, compared to the bruneau. Pull up the hood and a guy can still listen to the small things. Eberlestock keeps coming up with awesome gear and the pioneer half zip hoodie is a must have for early season mid temps/base layer!!!! Just get one, is all I can say.
